I suggested that many a thread ago, and I obviously agree. Cowl pulled back, 5 O'Clock shadow with only the glow of computer monitors on his face = money.

Or at his parents' grave with a quiet snow falling.

That's what I was thinking, in the pic we got it look pretty solid. I hope the don't fall back to the regular cowl mold/helmet/whatever you want to call it., as mentioned above, there are some potentially amazing scenes we could see with affleck sans mask.

Night owls mask looks pretty solid too though, so I think that'd be a nice surprise.

I had never noticed that his gloves were purple until just now. I don't hate it! Reminds me of Zero Year

But is everyone going to be okay with black make-up around his eyes? OR, will they eliminate it when the cowl is pulled back much like BR?

I would be ok with them showing that he has black make-up around his eyes on if he removes his mask.

I'd prefer if his eyes where not shown at all. Maybe behind a white lens. Like towards the end of TDK when Bale turned on the ultrasonic vision or whatever.

I think I'd actually prefer it that way.

I would be ok with that if it had a smudged "worn" look to it. If it was super clean and neat it would look weird IMO.

They should eliminate it... but definitely want to see the pull back.

Here's a quick image I made up to see how it would look...

bleh. I'm not a fan lol. I'd rather him just not have to use it by the way the cowl is. Hopefully when we get a better look we will be able to tell. I'd rather have white eyes than black eye make up without the mask on honestly lol.

I agree though - they could probably do without it somehow. But the pull back in this film is a must! Other than the "torn off" cowl in Batman Returns, we have never gotten this in live action from what I recall...

You're preachin to the choir there, my friend! I've been a supporter of white eyes (be it CGI, mocap, etc.) when we found out Batman was going to be in this next film. I bet they could pull it off, but I know that some people on here go a bit berserk when you mention white eyes...

While the eyes aren't something I insist on, I do think they could work. They require a certain context, but when it's found, the result is pure midnight creature. Being as attached to batman imagery as I am, I hope they don't just dismiss the eyes and think "It can't work in live action."

They need to be a subtle part of an overall theme, but given that these people made superman's heat vision work so well (and comic-esque), I don't see why the eyes would be beyond them.

Always so eloquently written, MrsKent! My head is nodding as I write this

I'm in love with that top photo. Hope imagery like that ends up in the film.
