The Begins batsuit is definitely the second best Batsuit. For another black rubber suit, it had a lot of things going for it.

I really really loved the BB batsuit in the movie itself.

That actually gave me an idea, can anyone do a version with Batman's mouth area covered and the bottom of the mask, the mouth piece area looking similar to this:

^ True dat. The mouth piece was way to small in TDK/R. Much prefer the more open mouth piece.

I'm pretty sure the "face of the cowl" was the same for all the movies, it's just they all fit completely different on Bale. TDK looked the silliest to me. Made him look like Tucan Sam.

I know I'm in the minority, but regardless of head turning issues I always preferred the BB suit to TDK.

hehe Just thinking how much better off Batman would've been in TDKR if he wore the BB suit. It Weighs a heap more, so Bane might not have been able to lift him over his head, Would've stopped Thalia's knife etc.

I still think this shot is insanely badass, and it's a head-on shot of the cowl too. In TDK, it does look funny from certain angles but I think the way Bale filled it out in TDKR, in addition to how they shot it was perfect.

I love the BB suit too though, makes Batman seem like a real beast. But I enjoy the sleekness of the TDK/R suit too.

''Sleek'' is not the word I would use to describe the TDK/TDKR suit.

I would apply sleek more to Keaton's Returns outfit.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly sleek. Bale was skinnier in the suit, though. I would describe it as more jumbled.

I guess sleek was probably the wrong word to use. "Trim" maybe the word I was looking for. What I meant was that it made Batman look leaner/thinner/faster than he did in Begins- which was the point. I enjoyed that.

I don't know... I think Bale's Batman lost something special in The Dark Knight.

There was no mystery or allure to him anymore, which I think is mainly down to the suit.

wrong ..he had to opperate during daytime as well and just needed to get the job done...everyone knew batman is just a man in a suit..so the creature of the night thing didnt work anymore.
and it makes sense...till the fact they know you are just a guy in a suit, thugs wont be so scared about you anymore.. so you better step out there and wear leightweight armor so you can take em out as fast as possible instead of hiding in the shadows...especially during day time...

Seriously can't stand the TDK cowl.
The one from BB was a little better, but not much

I'm not sure I'd call the Returns suit sleek. It still suffers from stiffness and feels too bulky to call it sleek (aka the same problems that BB suit faced).

If I want my Batman with a little mystique, then no, it's not wrong.

Also, you're telling me he couldn't have done all that with a decent looking suit?

I think that's on a script-level too, since he's portrayed as less of a shadowy figure and more as someone who the GCPD are pretty much openly working with for most of the movie, so we're also starting to see him in the light more. Then there's the whole knight's armor motif that the suit evokes. I don't know, for better or worse when I think "TDK", I feel like it suits the movie...pun definitely intended. (Insert obligatory joke from someone pointing out that it's because the suit is overcomplicated just like Nolan's movies! )

Sleek in design/visual aesthetics, if not in functionality.
