Exactly. She says yes, the question is about the director's cut.

I'll believe it when I see a Blu-Ray labelled as such. Twitter is notorious for lost in translation responses

Could end up being miscommunication

Not the first time it's happened when it comes to will rogue be in the film

I can understand why some are skeptical.

while it's true Bryan Singer has never done a director's or alternate cut he also hasn't done commantary on deleted scenes. And the commantary on deleted scenes may be for director's or alternate cut for film.

Singer Is admirer of work of james Cameron.Well Cameron has done special edition cuts of aliens,TS,The Abyss, and Avatar.

This could be case where they offer choice between original and specil edition cuts.

They may do this to put more stuff with original cast since DOFP could be last time some of them appear In X-Men film.

Even if any OT actors besides Hugh jackman show up In Apocalypse it may only be cameos like patrick Stewart In Origins,Jackman and Rebecca Romijn
In First Class, and Stewart and Ian Mckellen In The Wolverine.

So if there is a "director's cut" Will it be released the same time as the regular DVD/Bluray release as a special edition or released after it?

I'd imagine it would be packed in with the 3D Blu so we all got stung for a disc we can't use (AGAIN) :@

Yes, they're really good at quoting everyone else... But, at least they added:

Whether this means Rogue’s scenes – which included a subplot where Patrick Stewart’s Professor X and Ian McKellen’s Magneto team up to rescue her from a Sentinel-guarded prison in order to help the team keep Hugh Jackman’s Logan in the past – will be fully re-instated into the movie’s running time, or whether they’ll simply show up on the Blu-ray remains to be seen.

Will the only difference in this be Rogues scene & Ice Mans death change ?

It would change Kitty's role/fate too.

If they do go special edition cut it may be to go fans of trilogy more of Original
Cast In DOFP especilly since besides hugh Jackman who knows if we will see
them again In X-Men film. Noone here knows If we can expect anything in future with OT cast aside from jackman.

We could get alternate cut or we could just get deleted scenes.

There were differnces In 1973 too. Mystique originally came to mansion and damaged Cerebro after talking to wolverine.

They also trimmed moments from the future scenes.

They may or may not have cut a storm scene where we discovered something new about her. It was mentioned we just don't know if it was filmed.

True. But do they really need to change the 1973 scenes? I would love to see the mystique/beast scene, but do they have to change those scenes also so they can match with the future Rogue scenes?

I hope not. I like Mystique in the airport... They could probably work around the other scenes if they edited cleverly.

It would be nice to have as much extra future stuff as possible, just in case this is the last we see of the main OT cast. More Bishop would be cool. And obviously the Rogue stuff would make us all happy.

I will be very happy, and a little smug if an extended cut surfaces.

A lot of sites have run with it tho. And Shawn Ashmore also retweeted Empire.

If it's not true...I'm sure they will respond with something.

From reading that early script tho, I never got the sense Kitty died. She would have died if the future didn't change but it did change. So you are right that it changed her Role...But i still don't get from reading it that Kitty died.

They really would have to edit carefully but given the structure a lot more would have to be edited out to make sense

You would have to say they slept over night at the mansion at some point and didnt rush to mystique since there is a moment where Logan wakes up and says rogues name which may not work very well

I suspect they would put the mystique at the mansion stuff in rather then beat around the bush

Well it would a nice icing on the cake to get an alternative/director's cut but I really enjoyed the theatrical cut too. I'm not really a fan of deleted scenes anyway, sometimes it's a case of here's what you missed out on - eg. the extended Dark Phoenix destruction in X3.

I always thought they missed an opportunity with Rogue though, especially after X2, where you could tell she was becoming more feisty/confident. It would have been great if she fully absorbed someone's power in X3, maybe in the Alcatraz battle. Or even if she did it in DOFP, maybe in desperation - if Warpath was badly wounded or something.

If there is really going to be a director's cut, I hope it's just them adding more action footage and some character moments as well. I liked the theatrical cut just fine so I won't waste time watching what I will find to be an inferior film with Rogue being needlessly inserted back in the film. The character has always been a bit of a smack in the face to the comic version so I was actually happy not to see Paquin in the theatrical cut.

I agree. I'm honestly happy for those who want the Rogue scenes back in, I just won't bother with it.
