Would you want Wolverine to be the only "known" Horseman?

I guess so most especially if the other three are silent henchmen which wouldn't surprise me if thats the case.

Combining all the above would simplify things for the gerenal audience and allow the movie to jump into the action faster.

Have Wolverine go through the Weapon X project ran by Striker. The difference is that Striker is really Mystique and Weapon X is a front for Sinister's experiments on Mutants in the service of Apocalypse.

As far as other Horsemen go, we've had tons of characters teased in the films who could fill the rolls. Refer back to the military tent from DoFP for two great examples right there. I'd prefer they at least be some nod to actual characters, even if its just someone like Caliban.

Yeah, I'd like to see some flashbacks of Logan going through a more comic book accurate version of the Weapon X Program, but Mystique is secretly behind it posing as Stryker and is working with Apocalypse and/or Sinister.

I'd also love to see Wolverine as Death versus Cable, like we got in the comics (in Cable issue #75 to be precise). That could be great IMO!

^ The tough thing there is his motivation.

In the original the motivation was revenege for the death of Silver Fox, but it's hard to see that relationship happening in this timeline now.

So would Wolvie go through the process on his own, or will he be forced?

I would think forced. Since Mystique now has him and could just hand him over posing as Stryker.

This is still about Chuck and Erick.

Who is to say this wouldn't be about Erick being turned into a Horseman? Or better yet Charles?

Who says they won't?

They were pretty clearly setting up Wolverine as a horseman at the end of DOFP, but it didn't rule out any of the others becoming horsemen as well. I'd bet on that happening.

Well i have thought they might give magneto the sinster role from AoA as horseman who betreys him.

My suspecion Is this film will focus on Xavier,Magneto,Mystique,Beast,Apocalypse, and wolverine.

I agree it seems like they are headed towards wolverine as horseman.

The problem with making both Xavier and Magneto horseman Is are you left
with newbees as Cyclops,Jean, and storm to be main ones to fight Apocalypse's
forces. If all the stars of film are turned into servents of apocalypse that
creates a problem.

I could just imagine the reaction If it becomes wolverine,Cyclops,Jean,Storm, and possibly nightcrawler aginst Apocalypse and the FC big 4 as his horseman.

One thing that just came to me.With Bryan Singer being a star trek fan he might be intrested In DOing to James Mcavoy to what The Next generation did
with Patrick Stewart. Apocalypse brainwashing Xavier like the Borg did to Picard.

A way even more for Mcavoy to step Inside Stewart's shoes.

Wolverine, Mystique, Magneto and Xavier being the horsemen would seriously be pretty damn perfect.

That way it gives a solid threat for the newbies to go up against - not to mention can you imagine the face offs? Beast vs. Mystique, Wolverine vs. Cykes, Storm vs. Magneto and I think it would be just so spot on for young Jean to face off with Xavier. Could be a great way to show her emerging Phoenix abilities.

Inless Kinberg Is lying we won't be seeing phoenix.

That creates a big problem with all the "Stars" In cast being turned into
poentialy silent obdenet servents of Apocalypse Inless Channing tatum has
a large role.

It kind of turns film away from Xavier and Magneto to poentilly unknown actors.

Plus somehow Xavier and Wolverine have to be freed if this is way they are going. The ending of DOFP makes magneto and Mystique poentilly expandable
If they chooce.

"Phoenix" stands for their version of Dark Phoenix (crazy psycho Jean).

The REAL Phoenix (super powerful Jean), we haven't seen yet.

I don't think that was clear at all.

This idea of Wolverine as the Horseman Death is just one of my ideas, which many have now become attached to.

Personally, I think this would be perfect as it would be so different (which is why I started this thread), but Mystique taking Wolverine at the end of DOFP doesn't mean that he'll be Death. In fact, when I first saw that I just thought "oh, that's how he'll get his adamantium"...

It's actually funny. Since starting this thread I've seen other sites and media speculate that Wolverine with be the Horseman Death. I have to assume they read that here. But again, this concept of him being turned into the Horseman Death and possibly Mystique working for Sinister and/or Apocalypse is a bit out there, and is just one of my concepts for what I would like to see.

I actually give it about 50/50 that Wolvie will be a Horseman (and Death just makes sense). In the end they may want to have all of the Horsemen as generic so the X-Men (including Wolvie?) can take them, and Apocalypse down.

Good to see you're keeping a rational head on this

"Invent"? No, of course not. As we've discussed, Wolverine was the Horseman Death in the comics.

But I believe it's true that the first time this concept of Wolvie being Death in the Apocalypse movie, based on the after credits scene, has been floated anywhere was here in this thread. Let mw know if I'm incorrect. As I like to say, great minds often think alike, and so do we...

I heard people talking about it as we were leaving the premiere screening two weeks before the movie opened, including one who was practically shouting, "HE'S GONNA BE DEATH!!" at his friend. So you're incorrect.

Considering that we all knew APocalypse Is in next film with what happens to wolverine In 1973 ending him becoming Death like In the Twelve storyline came to a lot of people.

while Age of Apocalypse Is main apocalypse story they are drawing from for Apocalypse they may also lift from other Apocalypse stories.

Remember Boliver Trask was long dead In Comics when the days of future past story happened. The film was able to stay true to spirit of DOFP story and Include Trask too.
