And also some of the highest rated actors this week are from DOFP, so for those who like lists:

- 1 - Jennifer Lawrence

- 4 - Michael Fassbender

- 5 - Evan Peters

- 6 - James McAvoy

- 8 - Hugh Jackman

- 16 - Peter Dinklage

- 19 - Fan Bingbin

- 22 - Nicholas Hoult

- 29 - Ellen Page

- 50 - Ian McKellen

And I guess all the other actors are at least in the Top 500.

I just mentioned this was my favorite scene in another thread. It's truly incredible.

Ya, it's a great one. Fassbender's delivery in that scene is damn near flawless.

Looks like Jamie Chung. :/

EDIT: Seems he just used random people for the heads. That first Blink concept is either Naya Rivera or Jen lawrence.

They replaced her with Sunspot. She was pretty much useless, no lines, she did nothing but die... twice.

This idea that "characters COULD die" is needed to provide urgency is silly. It's the reason X3 is so ridiculous. "If we kill these characters it RAISES THE STAKES!!!"

Look how many people have died in the MCU since the beginning of the franchise. And 99% of them have miraculously come back to life. I know that Disney/Marvel has no desire to kill any character. Doesn't make the films less interesting or exciting? No. Same with the comics, basically.
There was all sorts of urgency. Once Wolverine went back in time anything could have happened. And the future timeline took place after X3, so your point is kind of moot.

I guess I just don't see how Apocalypse could be a serious threat if after they deal with him everyone is alive and happy and thriving. And it's not about death, but it sure didn't look like anything bad happened in those last sequences when Wolverine wakes up.

What I mean is, if they never "changed" the future there still would not be an "urgency" because we know what the fates of character are at the end of X3...

Is there no urgency in FC because you know Xavier isn't going to die for another 50+ years? Or that Magneto has 50+ years before he's cured?

Is there no urgency in the MCU movies because you know that they're all going to appear in the next Avengers sequel?

Just because everything looked ok on that particular morning where DOFP ends certainly doesn't mean everything was fine in the 50 years in between.

I think my favorite scene in the film is the whole sequence where Charles, Logan, and Hank go back to the mansion after Paris. Charles finally has to get back into the chair to find Raven and knows it. And then when Logan has to do what he was sent here to do. Mentor Charles like he was once done by him. This was the aspect I was most looking forward to about the film and they nailed it all in one scene. From the moment Charles goes back into Cerebro, and when he reads Logan's mind to see the pain Logan's gone through up until now.

"You poor, poor man."

Charles's frustration and anger with not being able to tap into Cerebro. Just wonderful performances from MacAvoy and Jackman here. To of course him confronting his older self. This whole sequence was the heart of the movie for me.

Once he overcomes this he's back in classic Xavier mode. But it's still not over until he has to confront the closest thing he ever came to a sister.

That's pretty much the best possible result we could've wanted. If Disney Marvel had been doing Merchandise they'd be raking it in.
