So basically Sunspot. At least if they had her it would have been another female in a very male dominant cast. But I liked Sunspots power display. Jubilee wouldn't be as exciting.

I couldn't tell DOFP's Sunspot from Human Torch, quite frankly.

Same. Probably the one character that could'be been scrapped or portrayed differently.

People/Press will always do the comparison thing, and when your the one that comes off second best, no matter how good your performance is, that's tough!!

She realizes Rebecca is a fan favorite( and the original) and she probably feels more obliged to it that way, rather than her way. IMO she's a great Mystique it's just ashamed she doesn't think so...
I'm not sure why Hunger Games would really get in the way when it ends before Apocalypse even hits theaters.

So, the new continuity has -

X Men, X 2, X-Men FC, The Wolverine, X-Men DOFP, X-Men Apocalypse

(X3 and X Men Origins Wolverine no longer count, right ?)

I think X1 an X2 may have been omitted too. Even if Singer didn't intend them to be (or maybe he did).

Because Mystique poses as Stryker at the end and takes Wolverine into safety (I would assume), it would mean that he never gets his adamantium claws meaning he never meets the real Stryker.

It's pretty much a brand new continuity.

^ yep, though technically DOFP cant exist without the previous timeline so perhaps...

X Men > X2 > X3 >X-Men FC > The Wolverine > X-Men DOFP > X-Men Apocalypse >>>>>>>>>> (alternate) X Men > (alternate) X2 > (alternate) X3 > (alternate) The Wolverine > DOFP (alternate future as shown when Logan wakes up)

Maybe, just maybe, the titanic success of DOFP without any promotion their end may make them reconsider. A profit is a profit at the end of the day

I really loved the first meeting between Charles and Logan. I thought that James' depiction of the jaded disillusioned Charles was perfect there. He's all "I don't give a ****", but you can totally spot the moments when things Logan says get to him, like when he tells him that the Professor he knew would never give up on someone he loved.

The brief moment when he talks to Mystique in the Paris scene is wonderful, you can just feel the tenderness radiate off him.

The plane scenes, for me especially the moment at the very start when Charles looks like he's trying very hard not to punch Erik in the face again. And the "you abandoned me!" of course.

Lol.

My favorite sequence in the whole film is the one which begins with Charles not taking the serum, accepting the chair, trying to use Cerebro and failing, reading Logan's mind and then meeting his future self. Like many have said here, that was the heart of the film, and the acting was brilliant - emotional, but never over the top.

But if I had to chose some small moments, I would go with Charles total lack of patience when they meet Quicksilver - loved the way he said "he's a pain in the ass" and then "you, you kleptomaniac", the look he gives Erik in the plane when the outburst is over, and again the look he gives Erik after he's freed from the debris, when Erik is looking at the helmet on the floor and Charles is "yeah, go ahead, pick it up and you'll see what a pissed off telepath is capable of".

Yes. No more Origins, X1, X2, X3, Wolverine. They have been cancelled.

Maybe Wolverine 3 will show us how he gets his adamantium, maybe the story will set between XMDOFP and XMA we dont kno

There can't be wolverine 3 since origins and the wolverine never happened. There can be wolverine solo film but there can't be wolverine 3.

The X-Men films now started In 2011 with FC and there have been only 2 X-Men films now.

Your not wrong.

That's reason i am still unsure If I like X2 or DOFP better.DOFP took a sledgehammer to one of my favorate Comic Book films.

That's also why I am less over the moon on ending of DOFP than some since if anything with OT cast is erased it means nothing to see OT cast again since
nothing we have seen them In except Hugh Jackman with FC cast now has happened.

We may see some OT cast In APocalypse but besides Hugh again with FC cast they are almost certinly going to be cameos.

But these films still happened, even in the canon. Without X2 building to DOFP, Wolverine would have never been sent back.

That Is what they tried to say with Star Trek too.I say just admit it's reboot
and enough of this trying to say films are altered not erased trying to have it both ways.Besides Hugh Jackman playing wolverine the only connection between
non-FC films to Apocalypse and future films is any homages they want to make
to past non-FC films. If they only want to focus on FC cast+Wolverine then
bringing back James Marsden and Famke Janssen at end of DOFP was pointless.
They were going to bring In teenage versions of Cyclops and Jean In APocalypse
anyway.

The fact remains you only need to see FC and then DOFP anymore.

That's not true, DOFP was very much part OT film. If you were to show a newbie FC and DOFP only, they would be very lost and confused about half of the movie. Who is this Logan guy? Who are all these future characters? Why does Logan care about this redhead? Etc.

You can future of DOFP with sentinles as just possable future of FC.You could say they expanded wolverine's cameo to major role from FC to DOFP.

Going forward the OT matters little to apoaclypse and future films. The solo wolverine film may focus on him after Apocalypse. And if 2018 film Is Gambit or X-force then the only way
you will see the 2023 new future again Is possably bookened sequenzes In Apocalypse and even then the only connection to OT Is wolverine remembers them.

And what's wrong with that? It's a brilliant way of maintaining the original series while opening up limitless opportunities

Because he, and many others here, are too attached to the original trilogy. Any hint that they could be moving away from them and people have a fit.

Just admit the original series Is over.Erasing all the original films Isn't maintaining it.
