Make Aquaman and/or Cyborg's costumes also sleeveless and Wonder Woman will fit right in with the other Leaguers!
I'm not sure about the turtle neck, here she looks correct, if they improve that, it will be perfect. but this is a really nice and interesting choice.

I don't think Cyborg will be witouth sleeves I think we may be getting armored look. For Aquaman, I don't know if it's a really nice design I'd be glad. I'm not sure about Aquaman being in the movie. What about MM outfit? I think that costume could fit.

And this was his costume for a younger Princess Diana:

I think it's pretty clear that he originally envisaged some form of skirt and some form of armour based on Greek/Roman designs for Wonder Woman.
Thanx for posting those. I have the zero issue with the young Diana costume but don't think I'd seen the adult battle skirt design. Very cool! Well, except I'd miss the tiara and I wonder why there's armor for only one arm.

Wonder Woman wore that armour (crafted by Hephaistos) when she went to Hades/Tartarus/H3ll to retrieve Zola in the New52 comic book. I think it has only appeared in a single issue so far.

The one arm armour aka manica was pretty popular in Roman soldier armour and gladiatorial armour. I think it was basically intended to protect the "sword arm" since that's the one that would be doing all the swinging around. The other arm was expected to be protected by the shield.

Then my memory is getting rusty. I have every nu52 WW issue. Need to go check out those panels again. The armor is def sweet but a little busy. I can see why DC wants a simple design yet they can still achieve that with a battle skirt and keep the current costume basically the same.

WB wanted a male lead for Gravity. It was the director who insisted on a female lead. The movie was his baby. He won.

Are you saying WB has been pro- female leads?

Where's your source on the male lead? As far back as I can remember a female was always attached. It was initially going to be Jolie, and when she backed down, every major actress possible was under consideration.

But let's say you're right. Ultimately WB devoted 150+ million into a film with an unconventional story starring a woman. That still counts for something. The studio could have easily rejected Alfonso.

i'm saying they've started on the right track.

It's only taken them 91 years to get on the "right track". The population/audience is made up of 50% women.

Gravity had a relatively low budget of $100 million.

Not like any other studio has done better. And let's not discount the fact that Hollywood did at one time value female leading vehicles. The 40s and 50s are full of them.

Under no definition is that by any means a low budget. Especially not for that type of story.

I don't know why you're so eager to downplay their involvement. There is no other studio who devoted as much money to a female-driven film in its first outing.

Is this a Marvel > WB thing? Because, if so, it makes no sense whatsoever. Given that Marvel pumps out a movie every eight minutes, it's failure to produce even one with a female lead is remarkable (Elektra was Fox) is far worse that WB's record.

I've no interest in Marvel v WB. But WB have made more CBM over a greater period of time. When I talk about WB and female leads I'm not just referring to CBMs I'm taking their movie output in general.

It might be a good design for Barda. It's not for Wonder Woman.

I do enjoy this design. Sure, you won't have Wonder Woman wearing an armor like that, it has nothing to do with her, but It's interesting to see people trying bold things. Most of the times people just put a few straps below her belt and done.

If this style of clothing was tweaked, i'd see it working for WW.

That's kind of TOO historical and grounded.

You know, I get the armor thing and how some people want it but that design...ugh...why only armor her breasts? Its kind of ridiculous.

Well, the right length of shorts in the perfect shade of blue with a white trim would be wonderful. But if we never get the shorts, we can still have Gal in the perfect pair:

True. But...Well, she's Wonder Woman.
Some suspension of belief is needed.

I also don't think scenes like that will be written in. So no need to worry about that.

The breastplate in the Injustice costume is not really armor, it's more of a support for the symbol there. Otherwise you have to say she also have armor in a thin line in the waist.
