I would love if all the Justice League were on stage at Comic Con.

I think you mean Harry Lennix? Gen. Swanwick?

But I'm sure they'll have a moderator like Chris Hardwick.

Superman: Henry Cavill
Batman: Ben Affleck
Wonder Woman: Gal Gadot
Aquaman: Jason Momoa
Cyborg: Ray Fisher
Martian Manhunter: Harry Lennix
The Flash: ?
Green Lantern: ?

Darkseid: ?
Lex Luthor: Jesse Eisenberg
Maxwell Lord: ?

David Goyer said if he used MM, he'd have to be called Manhunter, and his alter ego wouldn't be Detective John Jones. He was saying that if Manhunter had all these powers he could see if the President was telling the truth, and someone in Swanwick's position could TOTALLY do that. Harry Lennix is seriously perfect for Martian Manhunter, and his character fits in with what Goyer's take on the character would be.

Eh, not a fan of the idea of them all being revealed at once. It would be a total ripoff of this

With WB/DC being late to the party, they're gonna have to be original with whatever they do.

They'd only be revealing two or three new cast members...

Have them do the exact same thing...but in costume.

Erm, Zack Snyder did the whole cast round-up thing 3 years prior with Watchmen.

And it would be a whole lot more similar to that announcement, as everyone already knew the Avengers film was coming and who the actors were. As of now, half the League are unconfirmed (just as Watchmen were).

Scatterax, I'm going to meet you at least a quarter of the way here. It sounds like what you're worried about is Lex coming off as a bratty Millenial who is in it for the lulz. I wouldn't want that either. To explain what I DO want, indulge me in a tangent first...

Psychiatry doesn't really distinguish between sociopathy and psychopathy, but I find the following distinction helpful for my own usage:

Both psychopaths and sociopaths share a complete lack of empathy. Hook someone with APD up to a brain scan and show him a picture of a fluffy bunny next to a picture of a horrific car crash and his brain will show no difference in reaction whatsoever. The closest someone with APD can come to morality is merely an intellectual appreciation of its usefulness. An inherent sense of right and wrong is impossible.

A psychopath is a killer. He enjoys torturing and murdering people and will seek out opportunities to do so. He likely did it to animals as a child.

A sociopath is merely willing to kill - or do anything else - if it suits his purposes because he doesn't care about concepts of right and wrong. The ends always justifies the means, even if the ends is simply slightly improved conditions for himself.

The Joker is a psychopath. Lex is a sociopath. He's not out there predating on people because he enjoys it; he simply doesn't mind stepping over a few bodies if it suits his purposes.

Then there's narcissism. A true narcissist doesn't seek out the attention and respect of others; he just expects it. And if he doesn't get it, he suffers what is called narcissistic injury and he will become quite irrational in order to correct it. A narcissist is threatened by any star in the room who might shine brighter than himself.

Put this together and I think you have an intriguing Lex, but add one thing that Lex has usually had and that I think Eisenberg can do well: coldness. Lex is just... cold, methodical, ruthless but doesn't feel any way about it. Much like Zuckerberg in The Social Network.

So I see Lex as a narcissistic sociopath; someone who just knows he is smarter than you and deserves to rule over you. And as long as you acknowledge that you'll get along just fine.

Wait so now the cast can't appear at Comic Con together without being a Avengers rip off? X-Men did it last year. Spider-Man did it with the main three. Godzilla did it. Pretty much every movie/show that is at Comic Con that has a cast appear has had all on stage together. And when Avengers did it they only announced Hulk everyone else was already cast. This would potentially be three characters.

In those pics Ray Fisher looks so much like Harry Lennix's son. Not generalizing here, he really does.

But, there will still be people complaining that WB should copy exactly what Marvel is doing or else it's failure...

Where did this Harry Lennix thing come from? Seems like fan casting.

The worst thing WB could do is try to go with the same tone as Disney did. Because Joss Whedon was so heavily involved the tone is very... cute. Witty, funny but implausible dialogue. MoS set a very serious tone. You can tone that down a little, but I'd really hate to see it get Whedoned up, because among other reasons, it would fail to do so well. Miserably.

Example: The scene with Hulk and Loki. Replace them with Superman and Sinestro. Just.. no.

STAS Lex is superficial and a generic bad villain (especially when it gets a little sillier in the Justice League). Azzarello's Luthor is still best Luthor.

The worst thing indeed.

Whedon's tone/dialogue makes me nauseous.

There have been rumors since the production of MOS that Lennix is actually MM. It was because he was in a green screen suit so people just ran with it.
