I can only imagine Superman vs Darkseid.

It's hard to think of villains that would require both Green Lantern and Flash, but at the same time, this villain can't be such a threat that they require the entire Justice League to defeat...Between Green Lantern and The Flash, i think Sinestro is the best villain, i think he should be utilized somehow..

Also, I gotta say that I'm not a fan of any villainous Kryptonians coming back. We've had angry Kryptonians in 2 Superman movies, now I've had enough of it, I definitely want something new. Maybe they can bring in Supergirl, Brainiac and Doomsday and they can have ties to Krypton, but I don't want another angry Kryptonian storyline, it'd be repetitive.
A lot of people want Faora to come back, and I'm pretty against that idea myself, they should make room for other villains instead of bringing her back.
If we get a Man of Steel sequel, bring on Kara and Brainiac
I would be surprised if the MOS sequel happens. I think if the other movies are huge successes, WB will move onto other films.

When I was looking for that Superman Darkseid gif, I saw this JL poster. Pretty awesome.

That looks awesome - until I'm reminded of some of the casting choices for the characters.

Well...

As I'm sure you know, the Internet has tossed some names around. Kristen Bell is a big one. Others have said Amanda Seyfried, but those others need to have icepicks shoved under their toenails one by one.

I think Supergirl needs to be a girl, in which case the actor is probably too young for any of us to have heard of yet. Emma Watson may be an option, and... whatever happened to Dakota Fanning?

An aside, Chris Sims gives a really good explanation as to why adding Kryptonians kind of screws up Superman. A huge part of his story is that Krypton is gone and it's never coming back. It's largely that tragedy to make sure that never happens to Earth, or any Earthling if he can prevent it. A big part of Superman's agony in killing Zod is that, in addition to having just become a killer, what he killed was the last of his kind. Krypton is officially dead. The more Kryptonians you add to the mix, the more you dilute the power of that element.

The only possible weak casting choice is Gadot.

I'm not a big fan of the actor who will be playing Aquaman - he's done some good work but as Aquaman? Hard to see him pulling off a role like that - much like Gadot as Wonder Woman. Even Cavill as Superman needs much needed work when it comes to CK/Superman - I want to see a much better performance from him in this new film because a pretty face can go far in Hollywood but if you want to be taken seriously, you need to work on your craft.

Cavill's performance was good in MOS. Only problem was weak writing. He barely gave any dialogue in the first hour of the film.

Momoa will be a badass Aquaman.

If other movies are a huge success, that all but practically guarantee's a Man of Steel sequel. If Superman is the ring-leader and purpose to all of these hero's coming out of the woodwork to begin with and if the events of MoS are the backbone to what developed this universe, then a successful JL film or WW film will only greenlight another MoS sequel. Maybe even 2 or 3.

Which is why I have to roll my eyes at people complaining about the complaining. Especially when some of them were around when films like SR were getting dumped on for 5+ years straight and didn't say a word.
Generally speaking, I don't think we disagree. In some cases though, that 'complaining' is warranted in response to those who exaggerate the problems in MOS. I can't comment on SR since I wasn't around the hype during that period.

I'm so looking forward to seeing these characters finally appear on the big screen and the actors/actresses takes on them.

It will be a huge challenge for all, but hopefully it will work and DC can get the ball running on everything else they set out to release.

Cavill had some good scenes in MOS. But in other scenes, he was weak.

I disagree.

Though I agree with Mark Hughes there will be no MOS announcement at ComicCon I also agree a second solo is coming around 202.

As he says a second Superman following on JL if it gets just half the boost Thor2 got would do over 800 million. More likely it gets a bigger boost. He thinks it'll do 900 million.

MOS was a disappointment financially but not a huge disappointment. It was poorly reviewed and had problems but still made 668 million. I think Superman can make as much as WW with right script/director.

There really isnt a point to have MOS sequel happen so many years later. If the studio was really thrilled with MOS, we would be getting that next instead of the team-up movie as WB tries to mirror the success of the Marvel superhero films and set-up new franchises.
