Im reciting this from memory....but I think Flass had Gordon's wife and new born child on a bridge threatening to shoot them and Bruce shows up and tackles Flass while holding Gordon's child...the three fall and Bruce saves Gordon's child.

That wasn't Flass. That was Johnny Viti, Carmine Falcone's nephew.

Oh, ok. I can't remember that being Flass or a gun involved with that moment. It may have been someone else since I remember Flass ratting out on other crooked cops as some part of a deal. And of course Gordon beating him up.

I would love some scenes of Bruce honing skills, as he would have to, in the Cave and Batarangs would be perfect to illustrate part of his training habits. Having a casual conversation with Alfred while running and leaping hitting targets and other tests of skill would make me smile no end.

No comments on my idea on exploding Batarangs? Obviously Batman wouldnt use them on badguys but on objects. Has such things appeared in any Bat-media? I seem to recall somehing like that. Maybe from the comics.

I'm all for batarangs being integrated into his attacks this time:

I prefer fights to feel dynamic instead of the same moves being used over and over again.

Think I've seen him use them against foes who won't be killed by them but to injure or distract them

Been a while since I watched it, but didn't Michael Keaton use a batarang that he programmed to hit 4 people and then a dog jumped up and grabbed it and ran off with it? Think it was Batman Returns. Kinda dumb, but Keaton's expression cracked me up

Explosive batarangs have been used quite a lot in various Batman animated shows. Mostly to disable mechanical threats or extremely tough enemies who can take it ( he might use one directly on Darkseid, but not the Penguin) or to get past obstacles, (blowing up a locked gate) or interacting with the environment to harass (like knocking a water tower on top of someone) almost never as a direct attack on most enemies.

The animated shows, yeah, that must be where i have seen them used. Couldnt place where. And your description of them is precisely what i was thinking how Batman would use such a batarang!

What are your thoughts on exploding Batarangs MrsKent? Imagine the following scene:

Batman and Superman, after a grueling fight against each other, that ended in a draw, chase after Lex Luthor who has locked himself in his safe room.

Superman uses his X-Ray vision on the door and says to Batman: "Solid steel, hang on a minute, i'll melt it with my heat-vision!"

Batman: We dont have a minute. Stand back.

Batman reaches behind his back and pulls out a Batarang, slightly bigger than his others and throws it at the door, it explodes and the door flies off its hinges, barely missing Superman.

Superman: You carry around explosives on you? What kind of mad man are you?

Batman: Im Batman, and im always prepared.

Superman: And they call me a boyscout...

Watching that scene makes me realize in full how perfectly Keaton nailed Batman's movements. I know there are many that despise the Stiff-necked Keaton Turn but this scene is fantastic.

^ Such an Awesome movie

Probably an unpopular opinion but NiteOwl fights so much more like Batman there than Nolan's, imo

I feel like Batman is just as well known (perhaps more) for his array of gadgets as he is for his mastery of hand-to-hand combat. We definitely need to see a variety of batarangs and other toys being thrown out there in the middle of a fight.

This time around on screen, I want to see the kind of Batman who's like a walking Swiss army knife.
