Yeah she looked awesome in the first X-men. Besides the uniform they gave them of course. Its time to get out othe black leather uniform please. Other superhero movies have shown that superhero uniforms can look good on screen if done right.

When Halle Berry went to the Ellen Degeneres Show, they showed a picture similar to that and Halle said that they finally got Storm's hair right in Days of Future Past.

Halle's concern was that she thinks her hair in DoFP looks the most realistic. Actually it doesn't. notice the black lining on the edge of her short hair. I still prefer the long white hair that she wore in the first x-men movie.

I know loads of people hated the X1 hair but that whole look was my favourite. It was slim it was figure fitting, it was awesome the way her hair flowed in the wind.

In the future scene where she's with the students. The wig looked great. Looked as if Halle just dyed her natural hair.

I honestly like her X3 hair. I think if it was more white than grey, it would have been even better. It's an interesting cut.

I wondered why a school teacher would have that cut when previously she had much less "try hard" hairstyles or edgy look. There was no story purpose of the change like there was for her comics Mohawk or even her hair in DOFP has an implied subtext reasoning of the war torn society. I just never got it's purpose fox X3...

Its a different hairstyle. I didnt think there needed to be a back story for a new style change.
I don't really love any of her hairstyles though.

Same. Also, despite what many think I don't believe Halle Berry was miscast. I think Singer gave her very very little to do.

She's miscast and she has little to do.

She hadn't "very very little to do" in X2 though...

I feel like the hair's texture in days of future past looked realistic. The problem is the hairstylist seem like they are clueless. They need someone like Kim Kimble to do the wigs for the next movie. She specializes in that area, until they 100% get the look right, then maybe the character will actually shine through.

It made no sense to her character at all though so it did need a back story in that regard.

What? What do you mean? It's a different hairstyle. People change their hairstyles all the time just because. What explanation does it need?

Women wear their hair as an extension of who they are and their personality. I'm not sure if you are familiar with a lot of women in your life but I have a lot of female friends and family members and they all agree. For example after women go through trauma one of the first things they do is dramatically alter their look and most likely their hair. It happens countless times in movies and other media. Buffy did it in season 6 of BTVS, Felicity, Olivia Benson last season in SVU. The list goes on and on.

Anyway my point, my main point is, if one were to dramatically alter their look to the degree Storm did I would think it would be for a reason usually dark and unhappy one.

Buffy explained a haircut once if I remember correctly. Olivia had better things to do than to explain a haircut.

The only movie that gets away with explaining a haircut for me is Blow Dry.

I don't mean physically tell the audience with words I mean show don't tell. Like I could completely get why her hair looked the way it did in DOFP given the context of a post apocalyptic world. X3 needed some exposition though rather it be auditory or otherwise.

Btw Buffy never "explained" her hair cut it was implied to the audience through good storytelling like I'm suggesting.

None of her hairstyles really impressed me. I just want her to look glamorous and sexy. Her hair in DOFP looks edgy but it also looks like a soccer mom cut especially with the color of her hair. In X2, her hair looks nice in posters, but in the film, its too yellowish. In X1, the bangs ruined it. Then in X3, I just don't love it.

Agreed. I wish they would have just not cut the bangs down in X1. They made no sense.

What? Seriously man, you say a lot of passive aggressive comments. Who says that? Lol.

Everyone I usually surround myself with is a woman. Does that change something?

Pay him no attention Batboy99. That's merely one weird ass comment in a long series of weird assery that he posts here...comments that only make sense to him. If you wait awhile he'll back track and suddenly you'll be the "passive aggressive" one.

The notion that Storm needs a back story to explain her hair style change in X3 (or any film) is utterly ridiculous. Jean and Scott's hair in DoFP were both noticeably longer than X2. Do we need an explanation for that? Who the f*** cares?

Storm may be a mutant, but she's a woman like any other. She changes her hairstyle every once in awhile. Big deal. Comic Storm does too. We don't need exposition on it.

I get Buffy's change and explanation. But not everyone changes their style just be uses some big event or something happened.
Does black widow need explanations for her hair too?
I get that the constant change can be a little annoying though. And yeah. It's just a hairstyle. Of all the things that need to be added to the films or characters, explanations for hairstyle changes aren't one of them.

I'm writing this down so that doesn't account for tone. I was not meaning that in a "passive aggressive" way. I was merely saying my standpoint as to how I got my conclusion. I think you read into one line a bit too much but I did not mean to come off rude at all. I promise you that.

The main thing I was trying to get at was in the comics both Ultimate an 616 when she dramatically cuts her hair it's for a reason. I thought it would have been cool for it to happen in the films aswell. Though I guess the strain of loosing a friend could be one reason.

Also I have no idea why LS is stalking me but the desperation is sad. Mind your business much?

Perhaps it makes you feel better/cooler/sophisticated/whatever to post that I'm "stalking" you.

But what is the reality of the situation? Your post doesn't make any sense. I only cared enough to tell Batboy not to take it personal because you have a penchant for posting weird ass s*** on this thread--and then insulting the intelligence of those who dare disagree with your weird ass posts. And eventually you back-track, take the passive aggressive route, and state that the conflict of discussion was all in the other poster's head. It's a pattern for you.

You figure it out.

Hmmm. And yet, my post was directed specifically to Batboy. So who was it again that wasn't minding his own business?
