Well, I believe this is the second Kane since the character debuted in the 90's.
And he lost a match against...someone, I can't remember who...and since he lost he was forced to remove his mask or get "fired". Since he's maskless he's gone nuts and has savagely attacked a bunch of people, including Tombstoning Linda McMahon, which is why he and Shane are feuding right now.

On a different note...who here would like to see the Hitman return to wrestling for the NWA:TNA?

Stewart Edward Hart, better known to Canadians and wrestling fans around the world as Stu Hart, passed away at 2:25pm Mountain time from complications due to diabetes and pneumonia. He was 88 years old.

Hart was a legend in Canada and the wrestling world, beginning his career as an amateur champion, and then founding Stampede Wrestling, a Canadian institution, in Western Canada, however Hart was better known by a generation of wrestling fans as the patriarch of the legendary Hart family.

Together with his late wife Helen Hart, who passed away in November 4th 2001 of diabetes at the age of 76, the Harts had 12 children.

The Harts lived to see the passing of two of their children, Dean, who died of kidney failure in 1990, and Owen who died in 1999 during a wrestling stunt gone awry.

Stu Hart was born May 3 1915 in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. He was an amazing amateur wrestler for Canada, and a standout center for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. Stu chose to pursue wrestling, and was a professional wrestler for more than 40 years.

In 1948, Hart made the leap from performer to promoter, first in Edmonton, and then moving to Calgary, where he had made some money in real estate, and bought into Calgary's Stampede promotion.

In his later years, Hart would go on to bring wannabe wrestlers, mainly strongmen and football players, down into his dungeon where he would stretch them, and abuse them, often making grown men cry.

Hart was named to the Order of Canada on May 31st 2001 for making an important contribution to the sport of wrestling for more than five decades. The order of Canada website lists Stu's accomplishments as; "As patriarch of Canada's first family of professional wrestling, he has made an important contribution to the sport for more than five decades. Founder of Stampede Wrestling and an icon of the golden era of wrestling, he has been coach and mentor to countless young athletes, imparting the highest standards of athleticism and personal conduct. A generous supporter of community life in Calgary, he is a loyal benefactor to more than thirty charitable and civic organizations including the Shriners' Hospital for Crippled Children and the Alberta Firefighters Toy Fund."

In the years following Owen's death, the family had been bitterly divided, but it was always Stu and Helen who held the family together, serving as a powerful nucleus for what is arguably the most famous wrestling family in the world. TSN.ca/wrestling

That really sucks.
I feel sorry for Bret...first his brother Owen, then Davey Boy, and now his pop...that's gotta be rough.

Btw, it's kinda off subject, but who's running The Dungeon now? Anyone know?

i was watching smackdown lst night and i was puzzled by the storyline leading up to the tajiri-jamie noble match[ tajiri telling mr macmahon about jamie and nidia's comments on the no mercy father vs daughter match IN ENGLISH] .i thought tajiri DIDN'T SPEAK ENGLISH or was that part of his gimmick?

No clue. I haven't watched Smackdown in a loooong time. The only wrestlers I like on the show are Angle, Mysterio Jr, and Benoit...well...I also like Stephanie and her two friends.

RAW got all of the top talent, so that's really the only wrestling show I watch. That and NWA every once in a while.

with what ? if you mean stepth getting married i read on the coming soon wrestling thread that the real reason for hhh's abscence from raw is that he's getting married and will spend the next few weeks on his honeymoon and a couple of days ago i read in a wrestling mag that steph and hhh are getting married this month. put 2+2 together and the result is stepth will lose the i quit match giving her a storyline justification for her abscence [in reality her honeymoon]

well i just got through with checking wwe.com about the no mercy i quit match since i don't have ppv capacity and i was right. they had steph loose the match so her absence during her honeymoon would be explained just as hhh's abscence is explained by the bounty scenario[[collecting his own bounty would be a conflict of interest] any opinions posters?

I used to love wrestling when I was 9 and 10. Nowadays wrestlers are all 'bad dudes' and dress like rock stars. Back in the 80's, they were like superheroes. And the bad guys were genuinely nasty, guys like Jake the Snake, Sgt Slaughter and the Undertaker. Greatest wrestler of all-time....?

And this was one of the defining momments of those years...

No problem. I'm not sure it's 100% true, but that's the rumor I read.

I remember that. In fact, several of the wrestlers from WOW appeared in the "Spider-Man" movie as valets for "Bone Saw" McGraw, played by "Macho Man" Randy Savage.

I'm surprised that none of them got picked up by the WWE!!!

That's cool!!! But from what I've read before, many in the WWe resent the 2 of them getting married, because Triple H has too much clout. That probably why up until "Unforgiven", he had the World Title since last December.
