It's not about mastering it....it's all about not letting it master you. There is a natural flow to things in nature....summer leads to fall, which leads to winter, which moves on to spring and eventually back to summer. A human life also has it's seasons....periods of time that are good, not so good, bad, and eventually....back to good. The bad can get you down and make you feel as if there is no good things in life....but you have to know that they will come back around. As with anything in life...you must give it time to grow, for the seasons to change....for the storm to pass.

That's deep and it makes a lot of sense. But sometimes the bad times are just so hard...like suffocating. But I know that eventually it will pass, and that does make it somewhat easier. It just gets so frustrating sometimes. Life is so repetitive. When things finally start going really good, something has to happen to make it not so good, and it's always like that. But I guess you have to take the bad with the good.

And don't feel bad, I am from the country too.

Yes, life is definately repetative....but the trick is to try and repeat the better times than the worse....it's not something that you can do 100% of the time...but with practice and knowlege, you can increase your good time percentage.

Some bad is inevitable....some illnesses, acidents and the like....but others.....if you look back and remember what led up to it - getting angry over something, being quick to judge, etc...- you might be able to alter your future responses to similar situations, and thus lead to a better outcome.

Spider Robinson wrote a good short story....it was about a guy who could see the future...if he say "saw you cut your finger while peeling an apple an hour from now"...he could not stop it from happening (without it becoming something worse that happens to you)...so instead he was always prepared with bandages and the like to help out quickly after someone was hurt.

So...even if you can't stop some of the bad things from happening....are there ways to prepare for it and have a cushion ready for yourself when you fall?

Probably. I guess I could think about the future more, prepare myself for what could happen. I don't know. But at least now I know to work on it and that maybe it could stop some of the bad stuff from happening.
