So I wrote this today, never been able to draw so I wrote this instead. If people show an interest in it I'll keep writing. It's loosely set around the DCU most of the main players are in there.

The Arrival

Prologue
Bright flashes of white light pass by like an array of infinite crystals, the stellar disk is penetrated and opens up to its new visitors. Hundreds of thousands of light-years and 300 years have passed in their search for a new home. Their intelligence suggests that this planet is habitable and abundant with water and plant life. Such things have become near legend in their original form in the empty void of space, living in dark chambers consuming synthetic nutrition and reading of their glorious planet from history tablets made of metal and circuits hundreds of years older than the pale green flesh on their backs.

The Glay-undi were once a proud and passionate race, their history filled with joyous times of peace and prosperity with cultures full of love, music and inspirational artwork. However every species has its flaws and darkness within and the Glay-undi were no different. At some point during their own 51st century when their home planet was near death and almost all life had been drained from its shores, Civil war broke out. There were two factions, the western continent of Malghur and the eastern of Talistae . The people of Talistae made the first strike. Satellite Images depicting the last moments of the western continent show concentrated red energy beams bursting down from orbit and scorching the very earth to dust, 2 billion lives screaming all at once and seconds later...silence. There were few survivors, a few thousand at most. They lay Scattered across the vast newly formed nuclear desert.

Every war has a reason, the Malgurites were the more peaceful of the Glay-Undi, accepting that their planet was at the end of its natural life they proposed a plan of action to their sister continent. They would journey across the stars with the Talistines in search of a new world to start again and build a new Glay-Undi civilisation. Such a feat would take hundreds of years even in their glimmering white ships which were highly advanced and capable of faster than light travel. Although urgency was required and none of the species were looking forward to the endless and tedious travel through the void of space, the peaceful Malgurites stipulated that if a planet was found with intelligent life and no room for their species, they would leave said planet be and search elsewhere. The Talistines however did not agree. Stronger and more violent than their cousins across the sea the Talistines were adamant that if any planet was found capable of supporting life, inhabited or not said planet must be taken for the Glay-Undi Race, with force if necessary. Years of political debate followed, and with no end in sight communications broke down between the two continents.

The Malgurites were technologically advanced, they had cured all known disease long ago and developed amazing and terrifying weaponry to use only as a deterrent against alien threats should they ever develop. These things as well as their Star-Craft capable of faster than light travel, were at the peak of interest to the Talistines, with whom the technology had never been shared and for good reason. Their continent, more industrial and primitive, and people more argumentative were jealous of their cousin’s achievements and wished to obtain this technology for themselves. When they broke off talks with the Malgurites over the future of their race they planned their first strike.

They struck the western continent with bombs and missiles, months passed with few Malgurite casualties, their technology so advanced that they simply sat back and defended themselves against their foolish enemy. The Talistines had quickly exhausted their recourses and stood down. Un-impressed with this unwarranted attack the Malgurites announced that they would soon be leaving the planet without their neighbours and search for a new world alone. Realising that the Malgurites were their only hope for survival the foolish aggressors pleaded with their cousins for peace talks, they begrudgingly accepted. A small group of Talistines would meet in the capital of Malghur to plead with their neighbours to take them across the stars, but their secret intentions were much darker.

The peace conference was set, both parties had agreed to be un-armed. During the proceedings the Malgurites were pleased with their apologetic brothers and a treaty stating that the two nations would journey through the stars together was about to be signed, suddenly one of the Talistine diplomats was taken Ill, fitting on the floor his associates begged the Malgurites to treat him with their advanced medicine. The Malgurites were not without compassion and instantly took him to their sickbay while negotiations continued. In the sickbay the nurse began treating her patient with urgency, his vital signs were Normal. “You are better now, we believe you have had a mild allergic reaction to one of our beverages, our humblest apologies. An escort is waiting outside to take you back to the boardroom.” “That won’t be necessary” he quipped, and struck the nurse in the head with amazing force breaking her neck instantly. She lay dead on the floor motionless as the soldier scrambled to a computer point in the sickbay wall. He found what he was looking for and activated the device. Their intelligence had been correct, he could do it from here. He activated the device. Light Particles began to shimmer around his head and then encompass his entire body, with a loud “Thwap!” he disappeared instantly, and reappeared on the bridge of an orbiting Malgurite star-craft. The ship was massive in size and a glimmering white, the size of a small moon it was capable of transporting the entire planets populous. But the Malgurites had foolishly left it empty bar three senior officers.

The three crewmen present were more shocked to see him than scared. “What are you doing here!?” A tall slender Malgurite questioned, evidently the captain of the Vessel. The soldier spoke quietly at first “Why...? Continuing negotiations of course.” “I’m afraid I must escort you to the brig!” The captain spoke. “Very well” said the soldier. The captain cautiously approached him, the soldier could see the fear in his eyes and he smiled a wide fiendish grin. What happened next was quick, the captain raised his energy pistol and gestured to the soldier “turn around” He did so, still smiling he spun around with great speed and caught him in the head with his elbow knocking him out cold, his pistol flew into the air and the soldier caught it with ease. The other crewmen reached for their weapons too slowly. “Fhszoom, fhszoom!” he fired at them and they dropped to their knees each with a large steaming hole in their chest and computer terminals now visible behind them. He turned and looked down at the captain who was coming to. “Please...no what are you doing here? What are you going to do....Please don’t kill me!” He begged for his life. “What am I doing here? ......aha you Malgurites make me sick, your pathetic begging for your life like a cowardly child!” He snapped at the captain and cackled, then aimed his pistol at the captain’s head. “ Noooooo!” “Fhszoom!” The captain’s scream ceased and the soldier walked over to the terminal kicking the two crewmen’s bodies’ aside. He began using the computer terminal.

Meanwhile on the surface. “If you would now just sign here, everything will be forgiven and we may have a peaceful future ahead of us” The Malgurite diplomat smiled. “beep beep” the sound came from the Talistine leaders watch, he nodded to his other men “It is time” They nodded in agreement and all stood together in one group. Bemused and with a very puzzled look upon his face the Malgurite diplomat spoke “Time, time for what? I do not understand please explain” his voice becoming harsher. “And you never will.” Light began to shimmer around the three men, followed by a loud “Thwap!” and they were gone. Joined by his comrades the soldier smiled and spoke proudly “We are ready sir” The Talistine leader replied with joy “Good” He ran his finger along the computer terminal and checked it for dust. Now smiling at his still clean finger, the rage and excitement in his eyes was evident. In a sickening deep voice he replied “Activate.”

And so the war was finished, the Talistine leaders having committed mass genocide rounded up the remaining survivors of Malghur, and boarded them and the entire Talistae people onto their newly acquired star-ships. They left their planet, the planet Glay-Undinor empty with nothing left but memories of death and destruction. 300 years later and the Glay-Undi men who committed the genocide long ago were now much older but still healthy with centuries of life left to live, thanks to newly acquired medical advances. The ship had penetrated the galaxy and was now approaching a solar system with a yellow sun. “Sir we will be arriving shortly, my estimates indicate 1 more weeks travel.” “All stop private, we shall send a 1 manned craft as a probe to gather further intelligence.” The Talistine leader smiled and gripped his hands together in anticipation as the craft left the hanger bay, and sped towards the third planet closest to the yellow star.

Earth. Present Day.
“This is John Caraway on Gotham central radio with your daily update, it’s a warm summer’s day in the city and the American people are enjoying the heat wave that is set to continue until the weekend, unfortunately we predict a storm coming your way so stay indoors and keep dry! In other news President Luthor has set aside new legislation......” “Click.” “Listening to the afternoon report Master Bruce?” “Yes Alfred, And I’m sick of hearing about the President’s new plans to outlaw masked vigilantism. That’s odd” “What is odd Master Bruce?” “I’m picking up some strange readings on my long range sensors, just at the edge of our solar system.” Bruce stares puzzled at his screen. “Are you sure it’s not picking up those bloody bats in your cave again?!” Alfred says light heartedly. “Maybe, maybe not....” Bruce’s tone becomes more serious. “Beep Beep” A friend in blue appears on Bruce’s communication screen. “Bruce, we need to talk... it’s the league we’re calling a meeting, its urgent can you come to the watchtower right now?” “Urgent huh? I have a feeling we have the same thing in mind, I’ll be there Clark.”

I really like how you narrate the descriptive sections of the story, but the formation of the dialogue could use some work. Instead of writing all the dialogue in one-long paragraph, try writing it seperately.

[eg.]

BRUCE [looks up] - The bat signal.

ALFRED [sighs] - Oh, my...
