BTW this was done with all the Justice League members.... They wanted a clean slate so they can produce & shape these characters themselevs and lure other creatives with the promise of full creative control . But I think you'll already knew that.

The all purpose of deleting everything related to Cyborgs backstory in Justice League was to make room for a Cyborg solo movie PRODUCED by Johns. Problem is Fisher refused to star in it if Geoff Johns is attached and it ended his career as Cyborg.......... until Zack Snyder's Justice League.
