No, having money out of pocket for a longer time is not the same. If it was then companies wouldn't be focusing on restricted equity all the time, which they of course do. I get reports about that every week in my work. Normal people should be thinking of it too when they plan their economies in...
No, it's not the same financial burden, restricted equity is the whole point of why the companies did this and it's a very basic aspect in business. It's just that the companies don't want to have that money tied up and they make the customers do it instead. I base it on how this market works...
Of course people wanted to buy the tickets. Most bad business practices rely on there being a demand for the products/services, even far worse cases than this, so it's a given that it's the case here.
The point is that we're dealing with huge companies here, both the theater chain and the film studio that wants to use their venues for 70 mm projection. There are clearly other ways to finance that without charging customers a year in advance. That has nothing to do with not understanding why...
I feel the same. I think the MK lore is so inherently ridiculous and over the top that it just doesn't work when it's done too seriously. Just an example like that you have a serious ninja that can do ice magic, and he actually calls himself Sub Zero. That's just funny. That's why I feel like...
One should never underestimate the effects of certain supplements on gains and recovery time.
Still, given his workouts and, more importantly, his long pro wrestling career I'm sure he experiences more than his fair share of aching.
I agree with SF in that I don't think too much will happen inside Marvel due to the Box Office. Right now superhero films generally are pretty weak and of the ones that have done impressive numbers in the last few years it's pretty much just The Batman that hasn't been from Marvel. So they are...
I really enjoyed this. The setting and the character portrayals really managed to capture a feeling of the old comics and I really feel we have a worthy F4 film for the first time. The family is great and Vanessa Kirby was my favorite. I was also pleasantly surprised with Surfer.
Can't wait to...
That's probably why I remember the fights from the old MK but only fragments of the ones in the new one. Granted I've seen the old film many times and the other just once.
Haha, I erased and rewrote part of what I had written and apparently I mistakenly erased more than intended so the part about the middle of the fight got removed too. That about Johnny just running away was meant to be about the forest. My bad there.
In any case don't mean that he doesn't have...
I guess we see it differently. I think Cage was made to be completely out of his league in the tournament (pretty much only Liu Kang felt like a really good fighter on the Earth side). Against Scorpion he just ran and hung on for dear life, and winning in a cheap way that didn't have anything to...
The biggest problem (out of many) with the last film was that it wasn't fun, except for some of Kano's stuff. MK kind of screams dumb fun, but if you remove the latter it's just dumb.
This trailer is alone more fun than that film thanks to Cage, and it looks like he'll at least be more...
Yes, I enjoy it too but, as you say, it has a lot of help from me enjoying the MK games and from coming out when game adaptations were generally far worse.
The point isn't to rag on it per se but I just found it curious how some comparisons between that and the new trailer sounded. Given the...
