Yes, I enjoy it too but, as you say, it has a lot of help from me enjoying the MK games and from coming out when game adaptations were generally far worse.
The point isn't to rag on it per se but I just found it curious how some comparisons between that and the new trailer sounded. Given the...
Even though I enjoy the 1995 film I'm rather still surprised at how much credit it gets. Especially seeing it deemed looking better than this trailer as I thought it looked cheap already in 1996 when I first saw it, with some CGI being about as bad as it can get.
This is not a a good thing in my view. Using star power and FOMO to empty the pockets if fans even sooner, without them getting anything extra for it. It just looks greedy.
Big step up with Cage in it. By being intentionally ridiculous he's actually less ridiculous than the rest of the characters.
I don't expect much from this but if they can make it fun it may be worth it. MK doesn't work for me when it's serious.
I know Villeneuve has said in the past that Bond would be a franchise he would want to be part of but I can't say that the property itself makes me that hyped compared to the deeper things Villeneuve tends to tackle.
That being said, he never seems to miss so I'm sure it will be a great Bond...
I'm slightly surprised given what they had written that they didn't end up using, especially since characters like Davo Sculdun originally had more to do but ended up just fading away, but it's cool that they could identify all they could do before starting filming. Pretty useful as the show...
I generally don't care about Box Office, awards, or such things as they aren't related to my enjoyment, but in the Dune vs Avengers situation I do wish for Villeneuve to be successful so my favorite filmmaker in Hollywood can keep getting big budgets to make the films he wants to make. Having...
There also prioritized where the budget went and scrapped things they couldn't afford. Also Gilroy actually said he thinks the The Volume is great for many things but the reason he didn't use it is that the work flow is the opposite to when you're using real sets (with The Volume the post...
Andor ended fantastic. The second season got better and better as it went along and ended with as much satisfaction as the story could. The only real criticism I had with the season earlier was that it wasn't written in a way that really supported the show being called "Andor", but he did get...
Work is still making me lag behind on Andor but now that I'm caught up on the last two weeks' worth of episodes the show really got going after the uneven first arc. It's really firing on all cylinders now and finally we see more of the titular character actually being part of the really...
I don't know. Back when Daredevil was airing people here wouldn't stop talking about how there were too many episodes and that they should have gone with fewer to make the shows tighter. I was never one of them and I always celebrated it as much as I still do, but there were a lot of people...
This seems like something that, regardless of the actual viability, may cause a lot of people to start pirating American films again. I had that feeling when he started the whole tariff war and some people wanted to avoid American goods as a result, but now that he specifically targets films I...
I really enjoyed the Thunderbolts. Very good chemistry between the team and a third act conflict and resolution that really stands out from the vast majority of superhero films. Pugh was great as Yelena as expected and I was also extra glad to see more of Walker, who was one of the highlights of...
I finally got the chance to see these and I quite enjoyed them, although I think my expectations were perhaps a bit too high so I don't love it yet like I did the first season (which did take a couple of episodes to fully start firing though).
I think I expected there to be some bigger events...
The first two episodes have been great and the new cast really delivers. Like some others I thought they may alter things a bit to delay certain things but they went there right away and they made it hit hard. My expectations are now even higher that this season will make this story work better...
