I'm honestly surprised and absolutely love how comic booky this sounds. And tbf, this movie never once hid its campier influences, such as batman 66, so I guess we should have seen this coming.
I don't think reeves will have anything to do with the next superman movie, he has a bunch of batman related projects at hand and they're all bat exclusive. I don't even think he planned these easter eggs. But I do believe whoever is in charge of the new superman is gonna put him in the same...
Why would they namedrop lexcorp twice (this + the newspaper, that also mentioned "you know who in the sky")? Lexcorp is not part of the batman mythos, they could have added any gotham-related industry yet they're going out of their way to throw little hints of the existence of a larger dc...
Lexcorp has been confirmed in the novel Before The Batman. If that book is officially a prequel then we got a universe where a superpowered alien exists. Now whether reeves will ever use batman's superpowered villains or not is a whole other story.
Different interpretations of batman are fine. And as someone stated, it's a testament of his greatness as a character that he CAN work in grounded, serious, campy or fun stories. Batman is batman in comics, batman 66, batman returns and lego batman. However, it's insane to me how some claim to...
Idk if it's been said here but one of the things that tell me the realism in this universe is more "believability" than "no fantastical elements" is the superman/ww/cheetah easter eggs. The party costumes on set COULD mean they exist only as fictional characters, but the newspaper on the street...
Jeffrey Wright gave a recent interview saying the world of gotham is grounded, tangible but still fantastical. This + the VA leaks gives me high hopes for mr. freeze
I don't want the joker in Reeve's trilogy but if we must: Elizabeth Moss. Honestly she'd devour that role.
For scarecrow my top and only pick is Glenn Howerton, he'd kill it.
