They sorta glossed over the whole "meeting the Avengers" part. In fact I was trying to figure out where the Captain Marvel after-credits scene even fits into this movie.
Brie actually seems to have a lot of personality when she appears outside the movie. I think it's more the character they wrote. She's a sorta alien warrior with half her memory wiped. So she can be forgiven for being stoic.
The thought of Thor bumming around the galaxy like some interstellar ZZ Top cover singer makes me cringe a little.
It'll be entertaining as hell. I don't doubt that. But comedy isn't the sole reason I watch these films.
It's not really about "what I would have done." They can tell whatever story they like; I only ask that they tell it well. A lot of these nitpicks could have been resolved with 30 seconds of screen time.
