Six years deep into his tenure I sometimes forget how unbelievably sick it is that we basically have the modern equivalent of peak 70s Pacino/De Niro/Hoffman etc. playing Batman.

Apply this to every major IP and I agree.

Rob Zombie's Halloween II is also really, really interesting. In addition to having the best version of Loomis, there is a really genuine unpleasantness to it that differentiates it from the rest of Zombie's schlock. It at least makes an effort to make you feel some of the deaths on a human...

I feel the same. You have to view Kills as a Danny McBride/DGG satirical comedy first and a slasher horror movie second. Ends is also a lot of fun but the Laurie stuff drags it down and it isn't able to commit to its extremely subversive impulses - Cory should've killed Michael in the sewer...

Imagine being on the set of True Detective, less a film shoot and more of a messy divorce between two profoundly unlikable men.

Chad Stahelski. It’ll be a total hired gun or literal Gunn though.

Leaning fake too. He'd be good, a straight-up Fraser substitute choice for sure.

Seeing people on Reddit saying Galo Olivares is listed as cinematographer in ProductionToday? Does anyone know if that's a real source?

That's totally fair, think we're just coming at it from different angles. Mister Miracle is my absolute favourite of his comics. Probably top five or ten for modern DC in general. Such a beautiful story. Gotta read Up in the Sky and Human Target.
