Apertis verbis, I still think that --- in any case, according to the most recent plans too --- a "JL2" would likely finish at the beginning of the "Knightmare".
Bruce should have died, following the first script, killing Darkseid, ending the war.
According to these interviews, instead, it'd appear that he might die at the end of the second; nevertheless:
1) Snyder might have bypassed some details: in fact, he never said that Bruce's attempt of...
It's the question I've been scratching my head over for some time; with some possible spoilers:
1) According to Zack's words in a couple --- not all of them, though --- of the most recent interviews, it'd appear that Batman is supposed to die at end of the second movie;
2) Nevertheless, the...
One question, with possible spoilers:
According to you, when --- during the "Knightmare" sequence --- Bruce tells Mera "I can understand you", what is he referring to:
1) Generally speaking, to all the previous traumas of his life, as interpreted by Joker himself;
2) Or, in this circumstance...
Nevertheless, how can a movie be a "full 'JL' film" --- I'm not questioning your definition: I'm criticizing Snyder's original plan, hoping that it might be changed, hypothetically --- if it is completely devoid of Batman/Bruce Wayne?
Snyder says that the transition from "Knightmare"'s Superman to "JL3"'s Superman should be intended to represent the possibility for Clark's character too to evolve and change, even radically.
In my opinion, that seems to be quite an "over-semplification" of what a similar scenario would stand...
Yeah: had the plan --- about Bruce and Lois --- remained the same, he --- certainly --- wouldn't have hinted at a likely romantic evolution of Bruce/Diana's relationship.
In my opinion, his plan --- that I sincerely hope would be changed, hypothetically --- to kill Batman in "that" way --- completely power-less -- & in that moment --- at the end of the second movie --- is almost unacceptable: frankly, I don't want an entire "JL" movie --- the third of a trilogy...
Undeniable.
Nevertheless:
1) The first "WW" had earned half of its box-office "resume" in the US: strongly over-performing there; mildly under-performing over-seas;
2) It had been --- in US, at least; not also in Europe, actually --- critically acclaimed;
3) "WW84" was highly advertised...
On the bases of Bruce's dream/premonition, it might even be avoided, tout court; possibly, and wishfully, also without the necessity of his sacrifice, in order to prevent it.
Why is Snyder partially obsessed with Lois & Clark's future son, en passant?
Truthfully, despite I've always advocated for the brilliance — both “BvS” and his “Justice League” are mostly magnificent, for me — of his interpretations, his plans for the hypothetical “JL 2” seem to be out-of-focus...
