“Destroyer (Part 2)" Talkback/Discussion

Well I just watched Destroyer part 2 at noon on YTV. And bittersweet is all I can say. Sweet episode, bitter that it's ending. Oh well, we can say that the last DCAU TV series went out with the same quality that they all had.

That was one badass fight between the two. I never watched much of this series, simply because of my dislike for DC up until recently. I will probably have to get the DVD's for sure.

If you haven't seen much of the series, then you're in for one hell of a ride! I'm willing to bet that The Question and Green Arrow will become you're new favorite characters after a few episodes of Seasons 3 and 4. Be sure to check out the other DCAU series as well.

Ok, There is some pretty good action so far.
I am impressed to see Sinestro's ring in form of a dragon, Toyman owning the minions, and Batman/Luthor/Superman beating down the minions on top of the Daily Planet.

Luthor is owning with the dual pistols.

I wonder what's going to happen next.

Wow, Seeing Zatanna was golden.
I didn't know who the hell the Japanese man was, until he reveals that he is Martian Manhunter. That was something I wasn't expecting.

Seeing Batman dodge the Omega Beam was great, too.

Man, that episode was Awesome. Batman and Superman fighting together was classic. The way Batman doged that Omega Beam.. Dangit I will miss JLU.

What is the phrase? "Parting is such sweet sorrow?"

There wasn't anything more bittersweet than this episode. Knowing it's the last one and the whole time I was having mini-fangirl orgasm's throughout it.

The comment Superman made about control tied in so perfectly with the comics.

Seeing Zatanna was awesome.

The only part I loathed was seeing them so happy at the end and not having Black Canary around. Despite two great episodes she was truly shafted in this series, something I don't think I can really forgive.

But I can't even dwell on that for very long without thinking of all the good parts of the whole series especially this episode.

And who can forget J'onn's last words.

"I'll be home for dinner. I love you too."

sweet makes me want to see more of old darkseid. There better be some more DTV movies I need to see where darkseid and lex went.

Cool episode!

My only beef was Metrone (sp?) taking Lex to fetch the Anti-Life Equation was WAY to reminiscent of The Watcher sending Human Torch for the Ultimate Nullifier so the Fantastic Four could defeat Galactus.

Still; a fun episode, and a very fitting finale to the end of the DCAU. I remember how it began for me personally; watching Batman vs Man-Bat on a tiny battery powered black and white tv, as Hurricane Andrew had destroyed half my city. Im very grateful my family and i had something to look forward to amid all the destruction and questionable future... So long guys....it's been a PHENOMENAL 14 years.
