Mystery/Thriller ´The Agency´ (based on the hit French spy drama 'Le Bureau´)

Perhaps is just the lighting on the poster, but Fassbender's face looks awfully skinny there.

Definitely resubscribing to Paramount for this one.

This incredible cast—there's seriously not a weak link—is directed by the underrated Joe Wright, the man behind "Pride & Prejudice," "Atonement," and more. He knows how to conceive and execute a show like this, never talking down to his audience, presuming we're smart enough to keep up with characters who don't always explain what they're doing or why they're doing it. With so many programs feeling like constant exposition dumps, it's enriching to see a show that understands that viewers can meet something like "The Agency" halfway, and characters that don't over-explain everything are more fascinating than ones that merely serve the plot.

Watched the 1st episode, its's a near beat by beat of the original pilot with a few changes that didnt happen (or didnt see) in the French version (a set piece that involves a dramatic car chase) other than that really enjoyed it and am ok with those changes.

Watched the first episode. It’s a good, slow burn that feels like a cross between Spy Game and a Tom Clancy thriller. Liking it so far.

Yeah its very John le Carré

6 episodes in and this series is hitting all the right notes for me which I did not think would happen so early on in the series, and I appreciate small bit of humor it's giving us, I say the only complaint I have is that I don't think anyone on the show is believing Michael Fassbender is just an author looking jacked as he

I'm enjoying this as well. I simply love this whole cast and I'm glad it was all pulled together. :) Not as good as Jackal, but well worth a watch.

I will have to give this a watch once the season ends- one, the cast looks great and I'm a big Fassbender fan, and two, I've heard nothing but positive things so far about this.

This show ended up being pretty awesome and considering the fact that I never knew it even existed until a couple of weeks ago it really was a nice surprise given how saturated this genre is nowadays.

This, Slow Horses and Day of the Jackal are all great top tier, gritty spy shows IMO especially when compared to the stuff on Amazon and Netflix. Granted I like some of those shows too but there just not on the level of those three.

Fassbender really is great in this and it's interesting seeing him play this kind of character after seeing him play such a different role in The Killer. l also loved seeing Jeffrey Wright and Richard Gere in this although I do wish he was utilized a bit more but atleast we are getting a Season 2.
