⚽ Football (Soccer)

Lewis-Skelly makes it 3!! Nice play from the youngster.

Martinelli makes it 4-1!!

Guess City aren’t quite out of the woods just yet.

Another great goal from a promising young player, Nwaneri. 5-1!!

I know our season is in the toilet but I still get a big kick out of seeing City getting outplayed. Unlikeable team, unlikeable players, manager and style of football all based on oil money with a ton of glory hunter supporters. Seeing Arsenal pummel them felt satisfying even if we got our asses handed to us by Palace earlier. :D

It’s a sign they really have something about them to come back from such a thrashing which could easily have stalled their momentum, and then dole out an even bigger one. Wonder why Brighton have regressed. Are they still recruiting at the same level? Maybe their staff got poached.

This new manager Brighton got in is very inexperienced and he seems to have taken a different approach to how they play, which might have disjointed the team a bit. On the recruitment side they haven't unearthed a real gem for a while, some with flashes of promise like the winger they bought off you, but nothing consistent, Beleba is probably their next potential asset to cash in on, and maybe Mitoma this summer.

Ah, thanks for the info.

A shame as they had a lot of promise, but nice to see other smaller teams or giants who have been sleeping for decades back in amongst it outside of just the traditional teams.

Never thought I would see the day where Rashford went to another Prem side, this looks AI generated but I guess its best for all parties now. He hasnt looked motivated with us for some time now and he is not a bad person at all just became jaded with United like a lot of us fans are as well so I hope he can refind his love of the game with them.

Aresenal City game was wild, City really have dropped off from recent seasons but its good to see that big headed oaf Haaland get a humbling for once. Not sure it will be enough for Arsenal to go and win the league but makes their top 4 seem a bit more nailed on and Citys a little more in doubt.

Really woeful again yesterday, the fact that Amorim tried Kobbie as sort of a false 9/free role when he had both Hojlund & Zirkzee available, tells you what he thinks of them or at least their performances as of late.

Simply put, we can't score goals & we concede them too easily.

It is a bit of a running joke & about United & relegation, we 'should' survive this season barring Leicester or Ipswich having a good run of games, however if this trend bleeds into next season, relegation is a real possibility because we are displaying all the traits of a side that gets relegated. Concede too many, can't score goals, erratic home form.

Doesnt seem like anyone is coming in now this transfer window, managed to get shot of Antony and Rashford but doesnt seem to have freed up enough to bring anyone notable in. I guess the idea is to save now and go big in the summer for Amorim, assuming he makes it that far, gulp.

All a bit of a mess still and INEOS dont seem to have covered themselves in glory at all so far. Just added to the chaos rather than sorting anything out.

Looking at us going forward it looks like some players have just been broken down over time and had their 'edge' polished off. Amad is an exception and I think Garnacho can be at times but so many times when players get the ball in an attacking area they always seem to pick the safe option (passing it sideways or back to someone else) rather than going 1v1 with their man and trying to get a goal chance. I wonder if that's the "fear" that Amorim spoke of, that some players need to shake off.

I want us to be a team that other teams fear again. Right now it feels like we'll have an attack, other teams will drop down with people and by the time we get to their penalty box they have 6-7 men gathered and it leads to nothing.

I hope Newcastle’s new stadium go ahead. Talking of 70k capacity which would make the new ground second to Old Trafford in capacity. We have enough on the season ticket waiting list to fill it easily. Plus were getting 50k crowds in the championship.

Dude is still only 17 and already won a Euros where he contributed a lot. Good skills. It’s not as common seeing talents like this these days.

Isak scores after a few mins against Arsenal in the league cup semi!!

Oh wait, offside check.

Damn, offside. Would have put us 3-0 up in the tie.

Murphy sticks it in off a rebound!! I thought the chance had gone after Isak hit the post. 3-0!! We’ve got a real chance now.

Gordon scores!! 2-0 on the day and 4-0 on aggregate. Hopefully that’s it and we’re through to the final! Arsenal beaten by the high press pressuring them into mistakes.

Good performance. Can’t wait for the final. 2-0 / 4-0 final score.

Great result for Newcastle, be good if the final was against Spurs to make for more interesting final but I expect Liverpool to overturn the result tonight and make it.

Still Newcastle getting to more finals recently is deffo a good sign and eventually you will get one over the line for sure.

Yes, feels good. I reckon we’d have at least a 50% chance against Spurs but obviously would be underdogs against Liverpool.

Lovely third goal there, Liverpool rolling Spurs over.

Looks like out trophy chances went down.
