VAR is in the gutter.

0-0 in the Manchester derby, doesnt sound like it was a classic, can tell we are in the dregs of the season now, some teams already on the beach.

Game needed a goal really I think, at 0-0 I think neither side wanted to be the one to make the error that costs their team the game.

I don't think Onana made a single save, we were definitely the better & more likely side to score & win, however fortunately for City our attacking play is like a blunt knife. Garnacho missed a couple of good chances & Zirkzee drew a good save when he came on.. but it's the story of our season to be honest.

Casemiro & Ugarte played well, as did Fernandes who was arguably the player most likely to make something happen for either side. Dorgu was impressive again, he was practically a LW for us, Garnacho when he plays on that side really needs to make better use of Dorgu's overlaps. At the moment he's neither really using the space Dorgu creates for him well, nor is he feeding him the ball in the wide area when he should.

Keane & Neville can cry me a river about not seeing progress and/or how United didn't take risks. There's definitely been progress & improvement, give me this sort of a controlled performance any day of the week with this group of players over the same group, trying to play more open & expansive getting carved open like butter, battered 3-0 at home like we were so many times in recent seasons.
We're also languishing in mid-lower table, that's the sad reality of how good this group as a whole has been, so what Neville is expecting from them, is unrealistic.

He also mentioned how we need 5 players to fit Amorim's system, absolute nonsense, we need a handful of signings that are quite simply better quality than those we currently have. Nothing to do with the system, more so some the quality of player we have signed in recent years.

Not a bad result for Arsenal 3-0 against Madrid at home.

2-1 PSG Kvaratskhelia with a solo effort gives the home side the lead and turn it around.

PSG look incredibly strong, getting the Neymar, Mbappe & Messi circus cleared out they look a stronger overall team for it.

3-1 in the end for PSG, tough for Villa now after it started so well.

It hard to look past PSG for the CL based on how they've played so far in the knockouts. Absolutely tore Liverpool to shreds & battered them over the 2 legs, really should have won the tie comfortably. Same again tonight against Villa, the score seems like the game was close with only 2 goal advantage, but really much like the Liverpool games, they look a few levels above.

The only sort of seed of doubt with PSG is because of their history in the CL in that no matter how good they look, how good they are on paper, they've got a reputation for throwing things away.

I wouldn't rule Villa out totally though, Emery is more than capable of getting Villa organised for an upsetting night for PSG if they celebrate too soon.

Onana clanger gives Lyon 1-0 lead early on in Europa QF.

I would be mad but that's pretty much Onana in a nutshell for us.

Another big European game for the club, another error from Onana. At this point it seems like he's made more errors than played games in Europe considering what happened in the group phase of last seasons CL. It will be a mercy not being in Europe next season if he's still our No. 1.

After the little back & forth he had with Matic as well.. script writers loved that.

I don't even think I'm exaggerating when I say Onana has to be the worst keeper I've ever seen for us in the 26-27 years I've been a fan of the team. And I would even include some of our poor second keepers who might have given away an easy goal in some game but Onana does it every single week. 2 goals gifted tonight.

If we could send him off to Blackpool tomorrow just do it.

Taibi and Bosnich might be the only ones that come close but they were shipped out pretty quickly. Wasnt a fan of Barthez much but Im not sure any achieved the level of incompetance of Onana does on such a regular basis, just on the pure basics of not pushing balls out directly in front of you when making simple saves before you even get to the letting of shots go clean straight through you. Useless since he arrived.

All in all, a draw was probably a fair result. We actually played semi-well & created a handful of decent chances & the same can be said for Lyon. However, if we had a normal goalkeeper *cough* de Gea *cough*, we win that 2-0 & go to OT with a nice cushion.

Instead we've a goalkeeper that doesn't know how to use his hands.. but hey, at least he can play with the ball at his feet right guys? That's the first priority with a goalkeeper isn't it...

We should seriously be eyeing up a new goalkeeper in the summer if we weren't already & truthfully I'd put Altay Bayindir in for the remainder of the season just to see if we've already got a goalkeeper in our ranks that is more reliable & consistent than Onana. I'd try to move Onana on sooner rather than later, if you could get £10m-£15m for him, you'd be doing well.
