I'm just gonna say this, I had an uncle who committed suicide for being ordered to bomb a village in North Korea, yet when I was growing up I faced much racism from Korean immigrants in Cerritos, California. I had several uncles and cousins who served and died in Vietnam, only to face the same discrimination from Vietnamese immigrants who were brought here. I have lived around the world and I am sick and tired of made to feel like a guest in my own country by people from other countries. And before you assume I am some weak pot smoking hippy I was going to be deployed in the army until in 1992 until I got jumped by Wah-Ching. I defended myself valiantly yet these gangbangers pressed charges on me and the sergeant tore up my enlistment papers.

After watching Asian immigrants kill each other (shooting up pool halls, kidnappings, extortion, etc.) in San Gabriel Valley California for over 20 years this land passes an anti-Asian hate crime and makes me the face of their hate!!! Yet It takes this backflipping country 100 years to pass an ever loving lynch law!!! Are you kidding me?

MJ in Spiderman Far From Home made a point about the slaves who built the Washington monument. It is utter hypocrisy to allow the descendants of those people to wallow away in poverty while this blasted country provides lactate for everyone else in the world. Now my country (that never gave a squat about me) is allowing more racist people in this land my ancestors were beaten and raped and forced to defend and build. At 50 years old if I get called the N word by any of these people your going to see me on the 7 o clock news.


There is no better patriot than the black Hebrew soldier who continue to defend a land that constantly spits in his/her face.

There are so many aspects to your post that I could sit here and go into detail all day. As someone of mixed race, I completely understand your frustration about how people of color have been treated in the US. That being said, be very careful WRT stereotyping. As I've said before, any time you have a large group of people, there are going to be variations in attitude; including attitudes about race. Mexican Americans, for example, don't hate African/Asian/etc Americans, but, yes, there are those people out there. I saw it growing up. Some of the kindest, most generous people I've ever known were my neighbors; and, yes, some had some pretty messed up attitudes about other races. This country was built by the working class (not slavery unless you are talking about wage slavery) of all races and African Americans are among and, very possibly, "the" most exploited of that group. Essentially, there are going to be bad apples in any group and if everyone judged a group by the worst of said group, we'd all be in a lot of trouble. There is nothing intrinsically bad or good about any race of people, but certainly some have experienced more discrimination than others.

I think the question germane to this thread is "What should we be doing for the Ukrainian people?". I believe you said, essentially, that we shouldn't be involved and I fundamentally disagree.

EDIT: And I think calling Biden a "white supremacist" is stretching things pretty thin. I haven't supported many of his policies, but equating him with Proud Boys, 3%ers, etc. is, well, it's just ridiculous.

I've been wondering for quite some time why it's okay for Russia to attack Ukraine, but not vice versa. Galvanizing Russian public opinion might be a dangerous thing for Ukraine. Still, targeting certain, strategic areas, rather than civilian targets Russia has been so apt to take out, could be a good strategy.

On r/Ukraine there is a post and pics about civilians in Bucha city who were murdered by Russian soldiers. The civillians' hands were tied behind their backs. They were shot in an alley behind a building like dogs and their bodies were left among literal trash.

Ukraine needs to get insurgents into Russia and start ****ing some **** up. Target oil refineries, drill sites, manufacturing facilities, bases, airports etc. Even target the Kremlin. If Russian civilians don't like that they need to do something about the mass murderers running their country.

Annual inflation in the Euro-zone is at 7.5% which is similar to where the U.S. has been.

Rumors and fears about a Russian war against the Ukrainian people caused oil futures to rise for months and then spike right after they invaded. So this stuff happening way over there affects us whether we like or gripe about it or not. Same thing with food: Ukraine provides the world with food and now that's been attacked by Russia. Less supply with equal or greater demand means higher prices.

Of course not, but he did have a big issue over sending soldiers to Vietnam to fight in an unjust war, I know he didn't like seeing the racism his other fellow black soldiers faced there either and he would be face to face with Biden holding a gun to his head. He would also understand that a people who fail to call out Nazis among them are not worthy of his time, though I do imaging him rescuing Nigerians who aren't allowed to leave Ukraine based on their skin color.

None of this should be surprising in light of the atrocities that the Russian army committed during the wars in Chechnya in the '90s and '00s.
