🏈 NFL - Game On

Watching the Pats and Falcons.......goddamn does Maye throw a nice ball. You couldn't have put that TD pass in a better place if you just handed it to him. This kid has it all. He consistently throws as nice a ball as anyone, knows just what he wants to do (is smart), moves really, really well in the pocket, and hurts you with the run. Barring injury, the Pats are set at QB for the next 10 or so years. Damn he's even better than I thought he'd be in college and I thought he was outstanding. I saw no way he lasted past pick #2, but Daniels went ahead of him. Williams, Daniels, and Maye are all fine QBs, but I think Maye is much more advanced than the other 2 and, down the road, could be the best QB in the NFL.

The Bengals defense invents new ways to be historically awful every weekend. It's a sight to behold.
Oh man...., I was going to post something to this effect. Their D is just awful. There's no freaking way in the world they go anywhere if they can't hold teams to under 35 or so points. I don't care if Burrow is in there or not.

Hmmmmmm......maybe Washington isn't quite as good as we thought they'd be?????

That and Seattle is seems to be as good as the record may indicate. Darnold is looking as sharp as ever. Honestly looks better than he did last year.

Seattle is real good and Washington is godawful.

Seattle's O line looks almost impermeable (really like that word LOL), but I'm not sure that DC's D line is that great. I'm looking forward to the Hawks v Rams. I think that'll tell us a lot.

There's a lot of great games next week that will really tell us a lot about how they fare against over .500 teams.

Patriots @ Bucs
Rams @ 49ers
Steelers @ Chargers
Eagles @ Packers

These are some big games with playoff seeding implications. I love that nobody has really broken away with the top seeds in each conference. One loss could spell doom for many teams.

The Chiefs/Broncos game is the one I'm really looking forward to in Week 11. A Chiefs loss there and I don't think they win the division. Reid is 21-4 after the bye week so should be interesting.

Nice....I hadn't really thought of that, but all too true. All of those games could swing divisions one way or the other.

Good calls.....

I can't freaking believe we're halfway through the season..... :thud:

Sauce Gardner to the Colts for 2 firsts. What a trade.

It's probably a good trade for both teams, but the Colts are paying a steep price. From their perspective, he could be the guy who puts them over the top. The Jets........uhhhhhh......the Jets need......help.

They just extended him! Not sure how much that helps if DJ doesn't have a decent head on his shoulders though. This coming week against the Falcons is massive. He as to show he can shake it off.

Week 11 also has some juice matchups!

Bucs @ Bills
Chargers @ Jaguars
Seahawks @ Rams
Chiefs @ Broncos
Lions @ Eagles

My dream is that Denver beats KC and then Indy walks into Arrowhead the following week and upsets them. It would be an awesome feeling KC missing the playoffs, but I think they're gonna get in because Jacksonville and the Chargers just don't look as good as they did.

I can't freaking believe we're already talking about week 11. :funny:

I know I'm a biased Raider fan, but I saw 2 plays where Geno Smith got hit (and hurt) and I can't help but think that if it had been Mahomes or many other QBs in the league, that peraonal fouls would have been called.

The first was when he landed after being hit low (that's not a foul because he was a runner), but he was clearly down when someone launched and landed on top of him. The second was when he was hit low after throwing a pass and came up limping.

Before the game, I was thinking I'd have to find something other than another football game (as there weren't any and figured the NFL just wanted to continue to torture me) because the Raiders were gonna get blown out and I wouldn't want to watch the massacre. That wasn't necessary, but it was still depressing. LOL

Bills won their Super Bowl last week, per usual. Put all their cards into the Chiefs game which this year is even more useless than previous years since neither are going to be top seats most likely.

Such frauds that team. Getting smacked by a Miami team that barely gives a damn anymore. Now you're two games behind the Pats with a worse division record. Capital L Losers.

I'm so disgusted with my Panthers. The passing offense just can't get moving. New Olreans did a hell of a job stopping the run and putting it in Bryce's hands. I just don't know if Bryce is the answer at this point. I'll continue to support him this season, but something has to change. His throwing just doesn't have any zip to it. His long balls(not many of them) feel like they're in the air for minutes. He's constantly having balls batted down. I'm over it. Canales isn't the perfect coach, but he's far from the Panthers struggles at this point.

On a side note, the Saints QB Tyler Shough played a very excellent game. They may have found something there with that kid and I'm interested to watch his next game to see how he does.

A few thoughts......

Always happy to see the Bills lose. I'm not sure why, but I do.

I don't know if I want the tuck rule Pats (still haven't gotten over that LOL) to win anything and I'm also dredging up the whole cheating thing (will never root for the Astros), but....I guess I'd rather the Pats win the division.

I don't think the Colts are as good as people think they are, but we'll see.

The Jags are a mess and that division is god awful.....again.

I don't even know what to say to Giants fans.

The NFC North is the black and blue division again. The only non-division winning teams I can see in the playoffs in the NFC come from the north and west.

Browns and Jets.....jesus......

Not through the Rams 9ers game, but Jones is a better QB than Purdy. The whiners have spent a Sh****ton of money on Purdy, so they'll have to start him, but Jones is better.

Imagine if Maye or Jones got to a Super Bowl before Allen or Jackson. :funny:
