🏒 NHL: What the puck??

There has been persistent speculation regarding possible rigging in the NHL draft. The New York Islanders had a stronger performance than the Rangers for a considerable portion of the season, yet they somehow landed the first overall pick, finishing just two points behind us in the standings. It's difficult to believe that if we had concluded the season with 83 points, they would have enjoyed the same outcome. I firmly suspect that if the roles had been reversed, San Jose would have received the first overall pick.

While this situation is disheartening, the return of Mike Sullivan to the Rangers' coaching staff offers us hope for attracting Jack Eichel next season, as he would be an excellent fit within Sullivan's system—something we all witnessed during the Four Nations tournament. Additionally, if the Ottawa Senators decide to cease their contention, there may be a chance that Brady Tkachuk could be persuaded to request a trade to the New York Rangers, or sign with us once his contract expires in two years. By then, we will have ample cap space available.
