I’m just excited there’s gonna be a higher quality version out there…in the void. For no particular reason. :o

So what's weirder, Napoleon using Black Sabbath's War Pigs or Killers of the Flower Moon using Rick Ross's The Devil is a Lie?

200 Movies Guy: "The Shining is another masterwork of precision craftsmanship from the gifted filmmaker, Stanley Kubrick. When he does horror, a mostly silly genre, you pay attention to the thought-provoking meditation of the evils of man under duress."

2000 Movies Guy: "Bro, Chopping Mall and Frankenhooker was fire. You guys gotta check it out."

So I watched the movie Spy tonight while I’m at home recovering. The cast is pretty stacked. And while the movie was pretty ridiculous I really enjoyed watching it.

I’m surprised there hasn’t been a sequel tbh.

Fwiw if nothing else, it made me remember why Rose Byrne is one of my favorite actresses. She does all kind of films, series etc and she’s very eclectic. I watched some of the bloopers for this and she was cracking up. It seemed like everyone on the cast had a blast with this one.

Spy is great. IMO, probably McCarthy's best comedic turn as a Lead. And Byrne is brilliant in it, she should be in more comedies.

it might be my new favorite as well, which was originally Life of the Party.
i really wouldn't mind a sequel. and if they do, please get Statham to come back as Ford. he was really funny

Rose Byrne should be in more everything, she's very versatile. Not that there's a shortage of projects that she's in but even then I still feel like she's underrated. Admittedly I haven't seen Spy because at the time it came out I was tired of Melissa McCarthy's overexposure but she won me over again in The Little Mermaid. I should check it out.

totally agree about Byrne. She's one of my favorites. i think her and McCarthy play well off each other in this movie. and from seeing parts of the gag reel and stuff, it seems like they had a lot of fun too

Put the new Mortal Kombat on with Mehcad Brooks? I think that’s his name.

the Cartoonish sure but the violence is so graphic that I have to keep turning my head lol. I don’t like gore, which makes me a hypocrite Because MK3 was one of my favorite games growing up.

I’ve heard this movie isn’t that good lol but I couldn’t decide on anything.

The story is so bad on so many structural levels.

However, I can understand why fans of MK may find enjoyment in it.

I am super happy that my preferred theater is doing the Godzilla 2000 showing on Nov 1.

I don't think that's hypocritical. The 90s MK games were still cartoons. That level of gore on a cartoon character is something pretty different from seeing it on an actually realistic looking character. (I feel the same way, if it wasn't clear.)

7 years later, i finally logged into my Letterboxd lol

^ lawd i'm embarassed to show you. i don't even think i knew how to use it then nor do i know how to use it now.

it's essentially a way to keep track of movies you've seen yeah?

Yeah you just log in the movies you've seen and you can also write reviews for them.

Also you can follow other people and see what they've seen and whatnot.

You will keep up if you download the app on your phone. And you can add movies to your watchlist... I'm sure it'll be in the thousands. :o
