10 Most WTF TV Series Finales (from Screenrant)

The Prisoner will always win lists like this.

That St. Elsewhere ending is just stupid. I've never even watched the show and that pisses me off.

But I dont think Little House on the Prarie really qualifies as a WTF ending... they just didnt want those capitalist pieces of **** to lay their money-grubbing little fingers on their homes.

Newhart is both the best and most shocking series finale ever. I'm suprised they left it off.

What happen on Little House on the Prairie? Can't recall that one, do remember the Dinosaurs one and Disney really screw that one up

The link has descriptions of all the finales, but basically a railroad tycoon holds the deed to the town, and union soldiers come in to force the people out of town, and they blow it up instead or something.

They blew up thier town with dynamite to spite an evil Railroad Tycoon who owned the rights to the town.

I loved the US Life on Mars ending! I didn't see it the way he did, but I still love it.

Basically what the other guys here have said, but the town decides not to just turn around and walk away, making it easy for the guy that owns the land, so instead they blow everything but the church up and leave him and his people to clean up the mess.

WTF? That's how Dinosaurs and ALF ended?? How depressing.

I remember watching one of the 90's shows on VH1, and this show Models Inc. ended with a main character tied up to a chair in South America, with another woman saying, "Welcome to Hooker Hell, baby."

HAHA I use to watch Dinosaurs when I was a kid and I didn't remember that finale...but wow how ****ing depressing.

How was the Dinosaurs ending bad? It was definitely depressing, but they were dinosaurs, and they did go extinct.

Yeah, I really dont get the depressing comments. Going into a series titled Dinosaurs, you've got to have at least some idea that its not going to end well for them.

They kind of tied up the loose ends with Alf in a TV movie five years later....kind of. I don't remember how the TV movie ended.

But for a popular Simpsons-esque show it's pretty extreme to leave it on such a down note, even though it's obvious that the dinosaurs will eventually die out. It wasn't necessary for the main character of the show to bring about the imminent destruction.

Because it was a children's show that was funny and happy and they ended the show with everyone slowly freezing and starving to death. This isn't Homer Simpson pressing a wrong button that causes a huge explosion that ended civilization. It was a social commentary about how we are slowly killing ourselves. It is depressing. It would be like Seinfeld ending with them in the World Trade Center on 9/11 or Friends ending with them all dying in a plane crash and hugging each other as the plane goes down. It's depressing and it is way heavy for a kid to process.

Still doesn't make it bad.

Exactly!

This isn't Six Feet Under where you show the characters deaths in the finale because it was a show about death, this was a children's show.
