10 Most WTF TV Series Finales (from Screenrant)

as people asked previously, how did roseanne and newhart end?

Roseanne ended with it being that the whole show was the whole autobiography of Roseanne being told.
I thought it ended with that the current season was a book she wrote. That instead, they didn't win the lottery, and John Goodman's character died.

My friend and myself argue about the finale...I think the entire series ended up being the book, while my friend thinks the last season was the only thing that was the book...

...anyone wanna shed some light...

I hated the last episode of the old Fox X-men. Not only was the animation horrible...but it ended horribly.

I think it mostly was the last season, but there were certain things throughout the series that were changed too (Jackie being gay instead of the mom, Darlene being with Mark and Becky being with David, etc.)

Very suprised Dallas isn't on that list

The entire show was the book. Just some parts were real while others weren't or were changed around. For example:

~ Dan died from the heart attack, instead of living.
~ the lottery never happened.
~ Her mom wasn't gay but Jackie always was.
~ Darlene and Becky basically switched husbands.

The "It was all imagined/a dream" ending is always pretty risky.

It was awesome when Newhart did it. I didn't like it so much when Rosanne did it. That last season was awful though. St Elsewhere was pretty damn trippy to me when I first saw it.

I'm never happy with cliffhanger series finales. Not really WTF endings but I do say WTF when they leave me hanging like that and never answer what happened.

I enjoyed the Sopranos ending. The end of Oz was depressing but somewhat fitting.

I was pretty sad when Quantum Leap ended and Sam never got to leap home but it was cool how Al got a chance to save his first marriage before the episode ended. The whole episode was pretty strange but at least the ending wasn't a total downer.

For me the ending to 'Alien Nation' has to be the Biggest 'WTF' ending to date. Even though it was continued years later through made for TV movies with the original cast, it still shocked me and I've never been able to forget my reaction to it...

I know I'm right, but no matter what I say, I can't convince my friend...
