10. The OST is the best musical score from any game I've ever come across. Period.

9. The magnitude of characters, most (with the exception of Umaru, Mog and the Mime dude) of which had a major point in the game storyline.

8. It has the best 'leveling' and magic system out of every FF game. It's magic system is second only to Grandia II

7. It had one of the most original storyline points of any game period. Defiantly out of any Final Fantasy game.

6. The main villain actually accomplished what he set out to do.

5. It has a ninja as a main character. :ninja:

4. It has possibly the best dialog, both serious and funny, out of all the FF games.

3. The main character isn't some over sized sword wielder that is very effeminate.

2. There isn't really a "main character" as the game goes all over the place story wise.

1. It has a ****ing wisecracking talking octopus.

Shove that in your pipe and smoke it FFVII fans.

You mean US Final Fantasy 3?
If so, I definitely have to agree.
One of the best games of all time

Guy, you just made me order this off Amazon...

Hah. You can still get that at the local BestBuy. Or you could up until like a month ago, I havn't been there in a while since they pissed me off with some freedeal they didn't give me.

It also comes with FFV, which is one of the better games of the series.

I own FF anthology.
But I'm stuck at the part where you first get to be the fighting guy. And I always die. I have no idea how you're supposed to kill the enemy. I heard you're supposed to put into some combination but I could never find it:huh:

With his special moves? It should show it somewhere in the status screen for the moves.

I remember one was Left Right Left Right X. Or something like that.

You'd never beat all of them.

You'd never beat one of them

I own each Final Fantasy for the PS, and I owned most for the SNES, before my ex took them from me. The only games that survived that migration was Breath of Fire 2 and Chrono Trigger.

Besides Everybody knows that Sephiroth is a mama's boy trying to be like Kefka... but prettier... and I can't wait for the release of FFVI for the GBA... FFVI to go!!! Now that is almost perfection!!! If it was for the DS it would've been Perfection!!

I'de rather they just make it a direct port over on GBA or DS. None of this fancy schmancy 3d bull****.

best dialogue? it reads like a 10 yr old translated the damn thing. "i got sand in my boot. get this sand out of my boots!" best villian ever? **** that.

And I bet you think that Sephiroth was some awesome villian too, huh?

Face it, Kefka was the best villian hands down.

And theres a few semi-bad translation problems with the dialog such as the one you showed above (not that it's actually a quote from the game) but it's like that with nearly every game.

yeah, sephiroth was the ****. kefka was a clown. :)

i agree, ff7 had it's share of awful dialogue moments. the first half of the game was pretty sharp, the characterization was spot on... then later on they must have switched writers cuz cloud start saying stupid **** like,"i got the willies" or "let's mosey", which totally went against his badass demeanor. but ff3 was like that all the time. ff8 had the worst translation, but then again it had the worst everything. ff9 was okay, but zidane came across as a child with a limited vocabulary and garnet was a whiney little helpless ho. ffx has a great translation. the dialogue was tight and the characters rarely said anything embarassing (aside from tidus, but he was an idiot to begin with). ff12's dialogue so far seems amazingly well written.

Sephiroth is overrated compared to Kefka.

Did Sephiroth get what he wanted? No.
All Kefka wanted to do was become a god and shape the world how he wanted. Which he did.

big ****ing whoop. sephiroth has a history with main character, killed his love interest, and further ****ed with his mind and took away his identity. plus he has a huge ass sword. kefka laughs and prances around like a panzy. sephiroth has more sex appeal as well. you know you find those clear green eyes irresistable.

....you don't even need 10 reasons to justify this piece of awesome. 6 is the crown jewel.

FF7 fanboys, read the truth and cry yourself to sleep.

ff6 is guilty of most of the same things he was saying about ff7. and one of the things people are saying about ff12 is that all the characters are basically blank slates that you can customize however you want. oh well, just one person's opinion.

....most of the things? I don't seem to remember tons of (bad) CG bits, overly stretched out segments to give it "length", stencil characters (yeah, a few...but not an entire cast), horribly jarred translations (and a wonderful stereotyping to boot!), etc....

Blank slates=suck.

hey, those (bad) cg bits were the most beautiful things ever back in those days. only comparable to your mom's breasts. both haven't aged well. what stretched out bits? i remember enjoying every moment of that game, from dressing cloud up as a girl to retreiving my materia from yuffie. and the translation did suck. but every japanese rpg before and during that time had a ****ty translation. and are you talking about cait sith? yeah, fat white moogles ridden by cats don't get any justice these days in the media. i'd like to think times have changed, but have you seen fat moogles in any of the ff's that followed 7? no.

oh yeah, and the ghost train sequence in ff6 served what purpose to the overall story? what was up with that waterfall part where you had to fight that talking octopus?

....no, no. I'm afraid you're flat out wrong. They quite clearly looked like ****. It may have been "new", but it certainly didn't look amazing. Plus it started a whole new method of deceptive advertising.

nah, they were pretty much the **** back then. all 2 of my friends will agree. and if they weren't the ****, then there woud be no point in using them for the ads.
