10 Worst Performances In Batman Movies

Very poor list. Commissioner Gordon from the Burton films should be on there, and Talia's death scene gets her on there automatically.

Bob should not be on that list.

Tom Hardy as Bane, Tracey Walter as Bob, Danny DeVito as Penguin?!? Ridiculous. I wouldn't even agree with everyone in Batman and Robin because Michael Gough ironically gave his best Alfred performance in that movie.

Should have known this list was from WhatCulture.

This is the same site that named Jack Nicholson as the most miscast Batman character.
That says it all.

List is nonsense.

marion cotillard belongs on the list for her awful death scene

Jim Carrey wasn't over the top enough to make the list?

I don't know if the old Burton commish should be on there, he was barely in them at all as any relevant character to even have an actual performance.

I personally haven't seen Tom Hardy give a bad performance yet..

Marion Cottiard's Talia does not belong on any worst performance list just because of one naff scene. If her whole performance had been consistently as lame as her death scene was, then she'd belong on this list.

How was Danny bad? These people confuse disagreeing with how a character is portrayed with an actual bad performance.

I know right? Not only did he show up on the "worst performance" list but he also was on the "miscast" list. Apparently he was miscast because he was "too obvious" for the role.

I needed a good laugh.

I hate that label of someone being too obvious to be cast. It just means they're well suited for the role. So how that is bad casting I will never know.

He's obvious for his stature, he is short and round BUT I do not think he handed in a bad performance. I do not like this Penguin at all. I argue this role was more of DeVito just kinda being DeVito BUT at the same time the character representation just wasn't right. But given the material, given the Burton Penguin in what it is and should be I'd argue he did indeed turn in a good performance.

Problem is the list would be better if Batman & Robin didn't take the #1 spot. From that I would argue the worst was Uma Thurman and Silverstone. Arnold... well yeah, however I do derive some joy from his absurdity where Uma came off kind of boring and Silverstone as god awfully annoying.

I hate Batman & Robin and I wouldn't even say that everyone was terrible, like The Joker said, Michael Gough was great, but Alicia Silverstone was horrendous.

She basically mumbled her way through the lines like it was a rehearsal.

Meh, just another hollow clickbait article. Nothing to see here.

DeVito's performance was sensational. Probably one of, if not the best of his career. If you don't like that version of the Penguin that's an entirely different matter.

I think Matthew Modine's performance in Rises was truly abysmal. It would have been more at home in Batman and Robin.

DeVito got nominated for a Razzie. Plenty think his performance sucked.

There was nothing wrong with Anthony Michael Hall or Nicole Kidman's acting. Apart from them and Tom Hardy the rest of the list is valid enough.

I'm feelin a certain actors performance in my bones and stuff.
