10 year anniverary of Tupac Shakur's death

Pfft. Harassing? They probably just pulled him over and Tupac shot them and played the race card about. Thanks for setting us all back Tupac.

:cmad:

He's looking up at us right now.

Desperate, are we?

How so? It just saddens me that Tupac is looked up to like a ****ing Saint when there are plenty of much better celebs who die and they get made fun of or forgotten.

You insisted that he was such an awful person, and I pointed out how your argument didn't prove that, so you went with an "Oh well I bet" scenario. That's how.

He raped a girl and shot at two police officers. How doesn't that make him an awful person?

Didn't he also dragg a pregnant lady down the stairs and assalt a man with Shug night?

No one here made him out to be a saint.

I don't see what's wrong with appreciating what he did for music, and the fact that he made such an impact in a very short amount of time.

I think we're all aware that Tupac was far from an ideal individual (the guy was very much like a snobbier Kanye West), but nonetheless the subject matter contained in his songs say a lot about his talent. You'll find very few artists that can literally talk to such a diverse amount of people through songs.

ah, the irony :whatever:

No, no he didn't. This case was no different from a greedy individual trying to reap off a celebrity with a legal case. Add to the fact no semen was found on the scene to incriminate Pac, pretty much proves it was a lie. Pac was charged with harrassment, but even the judge himself admitted he didn't incriminate Pac because of that, but because of his previous run-ins with the law.

and shot at two intoxicated police officers carrying stolen weapons from an evidence locker who were harrassing a black motorist.
Fixed.

How doesn't that make him an awful person?
Yet you ignore all the good things he has done with his music...

I hardly think the Crocodile Hunter had as big an impact on the world as Tupac did. I just don't. I'm sorry that the man died, but he never meant as much to me as the former.

He taught me about crocdiles. Thats more than Pac taught me.

Harrassed. What exactly does that mean? Also, what's Tupac doing with a gun anyway? He can't take the law into his own hands.
Yet you ignore all the good things he has done with his music...
Hahahha! Oh well he's done some bad things but I ignore all the ****ing great things he's done with his music! lol!!!

That's like ignoring all the great things OJ has done.

**** Tupac. Terrible role model to boot. How do songs like "I just don't Give a ****" have a possitive message? One of his last lines in the song is **** the San Fransisco PD. All that does is stir up negative feelings amoung citezens to police officers.

You all idolize that?

I did listen to his music. I liked it, but Steve has taught me so much about 3rdworld countries and dangerous predators. I have learned much more from him.And I will miss that crazy guy.:csad:

I will agree with him there. Exept exchange San Fransisco to Baltimore.

Nobody is saying that Pac was Mother Theresa. But you're being totally unfair by demonizing him and failing to recognize his contributions to music. Also, do you honestly believe that him saying "**** the San Francisco PD" was unjustified on his part? Police aren't always angels.

Great job completely misinterpreting my statement. Never said the sh1tty things he has done were excusable, just that you seem to be infatuated with focusing on it to describe Pac as a completely demonic individual, when he's far from it. Which brings me to the next point..

That's like ignoring all the great things OJ has done.
...that somehow you think it's fair to compare a few malicious/questionable acts with that of cold-blooded murder.

Hmm, let's see...

Brenda's Got a Baby
Keep Ya Head Up
Thugz Mansion
Changes
To Live & Die in L.A.
Until The End of Time

I can go on and on, but those are just more of the "mainstream" hits. Do you even know those songs, or what the message was? Or were you too busy focusing on the obvious "thug life" mentality he had?

No one here is doubting the fact that Pac did glorify violence at times, but he also very much encouraged people (young'ns especially) to speak out, stand up for your beliefs, stay strong even in the most desperate times, etc. His audience was the kids of the ghetto. It's no surprise that he's most famous with them, because at the time he was the only voice that the people could relate to.

Aw, come on OJ didn't do it.

Yeah, police aren't always angels but they shouldn't be demonized like artists like Tupac are always doing. So many people hate or are afraid of the police because of influential rappers such as Tupac.

Oh, and he could have encouraged the youth to raise their voice without glorifying violence.
He was just a thug who glorifyed violence and stirred up bad feelings towards cops and also caused people to be discriminated based on where they were from and other stupid crap.

Just save us the time and admit you've never heard Pac's songs. Seriously, it's quite obvious you won't change your bias views, even though it's clear you don't even have a right to form such an opinion when you haven't even listened to the guy.

He was a thug he wore it as a badge of honor (literally.)

I do have the right to what ever opinion I want.

Thug.

That word died with the 90's, didn't it?

Anyway, in that article it says Tupac's ashes were mixed with dope and smoked .. WTF?? Who would do that, honestly?

Again, I'm not refuting that. But to say that he was just a thug, screams ignorance. You honestly think so many people would idolize/praise an artist that would encourage nothing but hate?

He was a thug who influenced people through music. I think so many of you are fooled by his talent that you can't accept that he does not deserve such honor.
