So why haven't I heard anything about this? They just announced the new Superman Returns DVD, but haven't said a thing about the 14 disc set. Or did I miss it?

I am also planning to order the Ultimate Collection set from the US because its unlikely that we're going to get all of those collectibles here in India. Could someone tell me which would be the best place to order it from (I mean a website), which can also deliver internationally. I have checked out Amazon and I like what they are offering in terms of price and all, but is there any better option and what is the right time to order, is it after the release or pre-order. Please help, I am a little confused as I have never shopped before from an international website.

Amazon is probably your best bet. I also order alot from www.deepdiscountdvd.com, their prices are good as is the service. Also, http://www.dvdpricesearch.com/ will let you put in the name of the DVD you want and it will search for the best prices, so at the least you can get a decent list of online vendors to check out.

this may sound silly but does any one know how the dvds will be packed. I mean will the dvds have their own dvd cases. I just like seeing superman returns sitting next to batman begins and not hidden in a tin box.

Suncoast is the source of most of the holes in my pocket...no such thing as sales prices there...

You will probably have to buy a separate copy of the Superman Returns 2 disc set if you want it to have a case of its own. Aside from the tin box & a couple of extra goodies like the comic book & the poster offer that you get then I would say other aspects of the set are very cheaply put together. You don't get the discs in individual cases, however they come in a new slim line digipack type design that folds open like a book with these 7 plastic dual sided disc holders that holds 1 disc on each side to equal 14 discs.

That's 1 thing putting me off from getting the set is that the discs don't come in their own individual cases for added protection. Plus I would have to sacrifice some other dvd releases that I wanted if I got this set because I don't have $70 or more dollars to blow on an expensive dvd sets everyday.

For the people complaining about 'no extended edition superman returns'. Rumor is there will be in extended edition coming to imax. A re-release, possible in a year or two.

I'm sure that the fans want a "Non Suck Edition" of...LOTS of movies....but just because fans want something changed in a movie, that doesn't obligate the director to do so. It sucks that there are deleted sequences that won't be on the DVD, PERIOD, but Singer is under no obligation or expectation to force things in just because.

So what's in this that's not in the 13-disc UK or Australian sets? Anyone know? I think it might be Bryan's journals but I can't tell for sure. Still... it works out much cheaper for me to import the R1 version than get the R4.

Also... if you want the discs in separate cases... just by all the titles separately. Might work out to cost more (but maybe not) but then again you could just buy the titles you're interested in, if you don't need/want them all.
