Do I know you?
Even though I've been a part of the Hype for about 5 years, I do not believe we know each other. However, I have seen you around and we've interacted a bit in various threads over the years. But I don't think I have much of a reputation here with the exception of a few threads/posters.
How do I know you?
You may know my from the Hate and Confession threads, along with the Relationship Advice thread and the various lounges that have existed over the years, although I have not posted in those regularly since I joined.
How much does Erzengel bench?
Since I have no visual aid or anything to help me, I'm going to get he can bench the equivalent of 10 Yoda's.
What is love?
Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more.
In all seriousness though, I think my perception of love has definitely changed over the past few years. I've always considered myself a hopeless romantic and loved the the version of loive portrayed in movies and fairy tales, however through several experiences in my life, I've learned that that's not how it goes. But I also feel that love is something that is much more simple than we make it out to be, at least in the romantic sense. It is easy to fall in love with something like a pet, a car, or even a friend or family member, but once we fall for another person romantically, I believe that we learn a lot about ourselves and our insecurities because we reach a point where we feel like we have to work for the chance to not just love another, but also to gain their love in return. In its essence, love is not justa feeling, but also an action and a gift that we hope to receive.
At what time in your recent past have you felt most passionate and alive?
To be honest, its been quite a long while since I truly felt whole and complete about myself, but I think the most recent time that I've felt alive was back in May. I was a part of a theatre production with the student club at my college, and I had the lead role, which really filled me with a spark of accomplishment. Not to mention, I also graduate a couple of weeks after the show, and I felt like I ended my time in college on a great note, considering that I did more in my last 6 months than I did in the rest of my time there.
What is your happiest childhood memory? What makes it so special?
My happiest childhood memory is when I played in Little League Baseball for two years. I was only 7 when I started, but it was the best time in my life because baseball has always been my favorite sport and something I was very passionate about, and looking back, it was the only time in my life that I was bale to go out and play with a team. There was something just special about being able to go out onto the field and leaving whatever issues my young self had behind me. I always felt so free being out there and having fun. Not to mention, I felt very confident about my talent and ability, so I never felt any pressure to do good. I was very carefree and its a feeling I don't think I've ever had since.
Do you feel like youve lived this day a hundred times before?
Yes and No. I say yes because ever since I graduated college, the days have just seemed to blend in with one another. I don't have a job and now that I don't have classes to be at, I pretty much spend most days at my house waiting for my niece and nephew to get out of school so I can pick them up. If it weren't for that, I probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a Saturday and a Wednesday.
But I also say no because even though I don't feel like I have been as successful as I would have liked to be at this point in my life, I know that there are different lessons to be learned with each day, and as rough as these past few months have been, I know that I am a better person than I was months ago, and I will continue to grow each day, especially since I have the hope that one day things will be different, and that I have the power to make the change.
If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today?
This is a really hard question because over the course of my life, I've met several great people whose company I have enjoyed, but as is often the case, those friendship end and we go our separate ways. The most I ever end up with is a friendship that is restricted to just facebook and text messages. Because of this, I've grown quite accustimed to being on my own and not relying on others to help me have fun or enjoy myself. And I see my family on a daily basis and we barely get along or enjoy each other's company. So at the risk of sounding like a complete misanthrope, I can't think of any on person in particular that I would go out of my way to spend some time with and say goodbye to.
Who do you feel closest to on the Hype and why?
It's been a while since I've seen him around, but Prison Mike was always great to talk to since I would see him around the Smallville and Th Office threads. However, since I stopped watching the Office, and Smallville no longer airs, I have not seen him around as much anymore. But I always loved his avatar of Michael Scott wearing the purple bandana.
What is your favorite sushi?
I have never tried sushi, and I'm actually a very picky eater. Not to mention, I've never really come across it in my time going out with others who enjoy eating, so I can't really say that I have any sushi-related experiences.
If you could live in any other country besides the United States (assuming you live in the US, if you don't... then pick another country anyway) where would it be and why?
I have always been enamored by the architectural history and lifestyles of people in places like China and Japan. I think visually those places are just beautiful, both in the historical sense and in present day. I don't know if I could choose between the two however. I hate crowded places, and China is the most populated country in the world, so I would want to stay away from there. And Japan seems very prone to natural disasters in recent years, so I don't know how safe I would feel there.
