have you ever posted commando?
The closest I've gotten to that is a tee and boxers...
what's an obstacle you've overcome or a significant event in your life that has impacted you greatly?
Besides the falling out with my dad, another great event (which will segue into the next question nicely) was meeting my 10th grade English Teacher. Up until that point, I always thought my creative calling resided in art...y'know drawing, sketching, painting etc. To an extent I still go back to all that...I make up these ambitious murals for relatives on their birthday (did a huge one of the four "Indiana Jones" films for my Movie-Worshipping Uncle). Up until then I had taken pride in oil and pastel work I'd done, some sculpting (I recreated the 'Christ the Redeemer' statue from Rio for a Spanish Art Festival once.
And I had also dabbled in music...Took Piano lessons from when I was 5 up until 13, got a ton of recognition for that...also played the Saxophone from 6th grade to 11th.
But 10th grade was when I was introduced to the idea that writing could be just as much of an expression as anything visual. The idea of sculpting or painting but with words on a blank page.
I've been hooked ever since.
I write screenplays, I've written novels...poetry, articles, film reviews and retrospectives.
One of my ambitions is to potentially write comics at some point. Who knows.
what was your favorite class in HS?
English...especially from 10th grade on. That's when my focus was turned to writing. From then on, essays were an absolute breeze. More than that...some of them were even a joy. As strange as that might sound.
least favorite class in HS?
Physics. Anything Analytical I suppose. I figured that as long as I understood the meaning and purpose of why the world works the way it does I didn't need to know how it works (unless if I wanted to...in which case I can research). When 'Matrix: Reloaded' came out and Councilor Hamann said the same thing to Neo I was like "There you go!"
What kind of toothpaste do you use?
Colgate...and actual paste to. Not a fan of the Gel.
How many times a day do you brush your teeth?
Twice. Morning before starting the day and before bed.
What kind of cell phone do you have?
Virgin Mobile...Basic Flip phone. I'm not all that concerned with the Blackberry/Iphone craze sweeping everyone. I just find it ridiculous. All I use a phone for is to...y'know...actually talk to people. All the texting bulls**t the bells and whistles. Insignificant to me. I know it's a big deal to other people and that's fine but sitting in class watching everyone drag on a conversation about apps is mind-numbing.
What's your default ringtone?
Some little VirginMobile jingle. I keep it on vibrate though.
