When did you join the Hype?

Around the time Spider-Man 2 came out. Man...that was awhile ago, wasnt it?

What’s your favorite forum?

I guess the misc. movies and various caption threads, since that's where I go when I'm here.

What brought you here?

Spider-Man 2. I was just blown away by that movie and remembered this "Spider-Man Hype" place I'd seen a little while back...

What made you stay?

The ever-popular and as-yet-incomplete Rabbit and Dog comic.

Who is your Hype Nemesis?

I don't think enough people on this board know of my existence for me to have a nemesis.

What is your Hype Pet Peeve?

Teh lag.

Link us to a thread you really enjoy:

Because self-promotion is :awesome: http://forums.superherohype.com/showthread.php?t=279895

Also, the mix-up movie caption threads. It's a fun challenge.

Real Life:

How old are you?

Mid-twenties, going on old.

Where were you born?

Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

What’s your job?

Nuclear Machinist Mate (in training) for the US Navy.

What kind of vehicle do you drive?

My keister.

Dream car?

G1 Jazz.

What is your greatest regret?

Had a rather large falling out with my father some years ago and made some terrible choices in doing so. Yeah...

What is your greatest achievement?

Built an igloo once. Takes forever and is uncomfortable to sleep in.
Also, being a functional adult.

High school mascot?

I think it was the Vikings, or something. I remember the mascot looked like my history teacher.

How do you like your steak?

Medium rare. :cmad:

What’s a bad habit of yours? Feel free to mention more if you’d like:

I worry to much, and complain too much as a result. Also, procrastination.

Favorite Place to Eat?

Portillo's. It's a burger place. And it rocks.

How many tattoos do you have?

None. Don't see the point.

Misc
If you could live in any fictional universe, what would it be, and why?

Probably the Star Trek Universe, if only because their Earth seems to have a lot more of it's stuff together. Plus, green wimmenz.

If you could be present for any historical event, what? Why?

Probably the assassination of Abraham Lincoln so I could punch out that sonofab***h John Wilkes Booth before he got the chance to pull the trigger.

Although, it would be cool to see Andrew Jackson at New Orleans.

Name three people, living or dead, you would want to have dinner with?

Hurm....
Morena Baccarin, Jewel Staite, and Gina Torres. :awesome:

Or, more seriously, George Washington, Stan Sakai, and Scarlett Johanssen.

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

Shutter Island. Before that, Avatar. *sigh*.

What is your favorite TV show?

Chuck. :)

What is your best childhood memory?

Probably playing in the fort we had in the backyard. So many hours spent around that thing.

An embarrassing moment?

Posting a pic from the new IM2 trailer thinking I was the first when Spiderbyte was right before me. Oh well, looking before I leap was never my strong suit.

Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?

Borders.

What is the last cd/mp3 you acquired?

Soundtrack to Bioshock.

Show us a sample of your handwriting?

No scanner/digital camera, sry.

:fhm:

Thanks for the thread and questions!

What's the best concert you ever went to?

What's the worst concert to ever went to?

Been awhile since I've been to a concert, but...

Worst was a Moody Blues one my Dad took me to. I think I was six at the time.

Would you be my Side-kick for free?
And would you trade a duck for a llama?
WHY SO AWESOME?

Maybe you should ask if you can be my sidekick. :cmad:

Pfft. A duck for a llama? Can water roll off a llama's back? I think not.

'Cuz of the name.

If you had the power to erase one thread from Hype existence...what would it be?
Probably the "Has Batman hurt the genre where costumes are concerned?" thread.

Have you ever been skiing?
No.
Have you ever been snowboarding?
Yes. Went with my brother some years back, it was a good time.
Have you ever been tubing?
Yes, when I lieved in California.
Have you ever gone camping?
Yes...sucked.
Have you ever gone hiking?
Yes, wish I could go more often. Hiking through the mountains is nothing like going to some stupid KOA campground with your family. A very peaceful time of my life.
Have you ever gone caving?
Briefly...I don't have a great sense of direction, so caves make me leery.
Have you ever gone rock climbing?
Yes. I have a fear of heights, but I try to shut that out.
Have you ever gone parasailing?
Sorry, Marx, we can't all be rich like you. :cmad: ;)
Would you ever skydive?
I would love to skydive, but can never find time.

Would you ever bungee jump?

Nooooooooo. No.

Do you enjoy reading books? If so, any specific genre?
Love to read, but generally not a specific category. It pretty much depends on the author's style of writing. Lovecraft, for instance, writes in the horror/sci fi genre, which I like, but I can't get past his phrasing and the way he puts together words. Which is a shame, since I hear the Old Ones mythology is pretty awesome.
What is your favorite book?
Either--

The Moon is A Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein

The Shining by Stephen King

f_103hljjmsm_9839868.jpg

or St. George and the Dragon retold by Margaret Hodges. The pictures in that were beautiful when I was a kid. If anyone can find a bigger picture of that cover, let me know via pm.

Who is your favorite author?

Probably Stephen King.

You'v said that you have a fear of heights. You said that you have been rock climbing, and that you would love to go skydiving...but you wouldn't go bungee jumping? What's the hang up?

Rock climbing is a physical exertion that requires focus on the immediate surroundings. Skydiving is apparently weightless once you reach terminal velocity, and strapped in with someone with lots of experience, so it's probably more fun.

But bungee jumping is just you, with rope around your legs, falling off a bridge for about a half second and then having the blood rush to your head as you hang upside down. It just doesn't sound appealing to me.

That's a fair enough reason. :oldrazz:

Have you ever used a typewriter to write up a school report?

Do you remember the library card catalogs?

At what grade level did you first have a computer in the classroom?

At what age did you first have a cell phone?

MARX: That's a fair enough reason. :oldrazz:

Have you ever used a typewriter to write up a school report?

No...I tried using a typewriter to write a letter to my grandma once, but then I made a typo, had to use whiteout, made another typo and realized technological progression is awesome for a reason. James Cameron. :cmad:

Do you remember the library card catalogs?

Yes! I knew as soon as I saw them that poor Dewey was going to be obsolete before I hit Jr. High.

At what grade level did you first have a computer in the classroom?

Huh...I think it was fourth grade, maybe? Or possibly third.

At what age did you first have a cell phone?

Eighteen. My parents were very...don't give your kid crap he can't raise the money to buy if he really wants it mentality (or in this case, get a job so you can pay the bill). Ah, the good old days of mowing lawn after lawn to save for a Game Boy Color...

Ahh...the Game Boy Color. I remember those.

What was the first video game you remember playing?

What is your favorite gaming system?

Have you ever been to a video game arcade? If so, what was your favorite arcade game?

What was the first video game you remember playing?

Super Mario Bros and Duck Hunt. It was amazing. Well, Mario was. Duck Hunt...

$%#$ing dog.

What is your favorite gaming system?

Gotta go with SNES for this one, or possibly the Genesis. Now I use my PC for gaming, though, so...

Have you ever been to a video game arcade? If so, what was your favorite arcade game?

Yes. I actually had three: One was Galaga, one was some lamborghini driving game where you reached checkpoints and dropships would come down and weld laser beams and missile launchers onto your car, which you would then use to blow apart your opponents, generally large purple vans with barrels of toxic waste going in speeds excess of 200 mph. What the hell was that game called?

And then there was another futuristic sci fi tank dueling anime type game I think that reminded me of Tron. Good luck finding that one, either.

I was also crazy about the Marvel vs Capcom games, although that may have been more about playing as Spider-Man than anything else.

Yeah...that dog made me very angry!

I remember a 'Pole Position' racing game...but I don't remember the explosions and stuff like that...this is going to drive me crazy!

How many times did you see 'The Dark Knight' in theaters?

Are you excited that Christopher Nolan has officially confirmed 'Batman 3'?

Who would you like to see as the villain or villains?

What actors would you like to play said villain or villains?

Have you ever shared an intimate moment with a gypsy?

Where've you been? I don't remember the last time seeing any of your posts.

At least three, but never (sadly) in IMAX.

Yes.

I would like to see a Nolan version of Catwoman, and probably Black Mask. Ventriloquist has always been a personal favorite, but that'll never happen.

No idea who should play them.

If you could make up your own superhero, what´d he/she be called, what would be the background and super powers/skills?

I you had to choose between a million dollars and a night of passionate sex with (insert your favorite sex symbol here), which would it be? And what is your favorite sex symbol, BTW?

What´s the craziest thing you ever did and was it worth it?

Those are all great characters! I am very curious to see how a Nolan Catwoman would be. He's done really well with the other characters, I'd like to see his take on a female villain. Batman 3 has SO MANY possibilities with the direction of the story.

Catwoman could be a love interest.

Riddler because everyone wants to know who Batman is.

Black Mask/Penguin because someone needs to take over the mob.

What are your thoughts on Christopher Nolan taking on Superman?

Why do you never visit Doc Ock's lair anymore? :cmad:
