Hype Life
When did you join the Hype?

2003, though I was lurker of the forum when it was just Spider-Man Hype

What’s your favorite forum?

I'm a member on like 3 other foums, but I definately prefer the Hype to the others. Lots of cool people here, and I can talk about just about anything I want to on here, which isn't the case on many other forums.

What brought you here?

Spider-Man 2! I decided to join up and be part of the hype for the film, as opposed to a lurker.

What made you stay?

Boredom :oldrazz:

But seriously, I love comic books and films. They are 2 of my greatest passions in life, so talking with other people whom share my passion and interests definately keeps me coming here

Who is your Hype Nemesis?

I think you and I already know the answer to that...nemesis :cwink:

Fave smiley(s):

:o

What is your current avatar? (post a pic of it if you want)

I actually have no idea where it is from! Gilpesh showed me this odd gif he found on a site, and I thought it was so freaky it had to be my avy!

What is your Hype Pet Peeve?

How fickle fanboys can be at times. It is amazing to me how opinions can radically change off 1 mistake on this site. It's an unforgiving crowd.

Link us to a thread you really enjoy:

I'm lazy by nature, so I'll just say I am a fan of Survivor on the Hype. I'd probably say any Survivor game I was involved in would be threads I enjoy.

Real Life:
How old are you?

23 years young

Where were you born?

Youngstown, Ohio

What’s your job?

Cart/cashier at Target, though I have recently been trained for the Food Ave (or Target Cafe as it will be called as of the 17th). I was employee of the month this month too

What kind of vehicle do you drive?
2007 Chevy Cobalt

Dream car?

I am not a big car guy, so one that drives :awesome:

What is your greatest regret?

Unfortunately, I regret a great many things and I am very tough on myself for this. If I had to pick 1 thing, I'd say moving back to Ohio in 2006. I should have stayed in New York. I loved it in New York, and I miss it greatly. Knowing I was moving made me distant from everyone before I left, and I do feel I lost a lot of control over where my life in the ensuing 3 years after I moved. If I could do it all over again, I would have stayed up there despite the financial struggles (which I ironically have in Ohio right now anyway).

What is your greatest achievement?

I was always the smart A student and such, but all that comes easy to me, thus I really don't consider that an achievement, though most people would say making the Dean's List and President's List all those times is a great achievement. Achievement, to me, means proving you can do something you never thought you could achieve.

That said, I consider my greatest achievement finishing the 1st draft of my screenplay. I am still working out a lot of problems in the screenplay, but the fact I finished that draft made me feel great. I proved to myself I can follow through with stuff I care about, as opposed to just excelling at things I am expected to do.

High school mascot?

Ours was a bulldog

How do you like your steak?

Medium rare!

What’s a bad habit of yours? Feel free to mention more if you’d like:

I am ultra competative. It is a great thing to have in some ways, as I always try hard no matter what I am doing. But, I do take winning too seriously at times. Anyone whom has played Survivor knows that about me, lol.

Favorite Place to Eat?

Home cooking beats all

How many tattoos do you have? [/SPOILER]

0, but I might get 1 at some point.

Misc
If you could live in any fictional universe, what would it be, and why?

The Marvel Universe, cause I love comic books, and being in the same realm as characters I have admired for so many years would be awesome! Despite constantly almost getting killed.

If you could be present for any historical event, what? Why?

Hmmm...this is a tough one. I have to go with the 60's. People today are too complacent to change the world in ways that I feel we need to change it, but back in the 60's, people believed in things. They got shot at, beat up, injured, and died for their beliefs, and I admire that time period greatly for it. If we had the conviction people had then, we wouldn't be in as much trouble as we are now.

Name three people, living or dead, you would want to have dinner with?

Hmmm...another good one. I think I would pick Stanely Kubrick (since he is my favorite director of all time), my older brother Greg whom died at child berth a few years before I was born (I'd really be interested to know what he would have been like), and and my niece Raven whom died 6 months after being born due to a heart condition.

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?

The Men Who Stare at Goats. It was okay

What is your favorite TV show?

Now or ever? Right now, I'd say House is the best show running. All time, that is hard. I am a big fan of Red Dwarf and Futurama, so I'd probably pick one of those two shows.

What is your best childhood memory?

Easy one here. My dad was a workaholic, but on his days off (before my parents divorced) we'd rent 5-6 movies, and watch movies all day. That is where my passion for movies comes from, and the times I look on most fondly when remembering my childhood.

An embarrassing moment?

I tripped and fell during a silent lunch, and dropped food all over myself at school. The entire cafeteria roared in laughter as I went back in line to get a new plate of food. I wanted to die :csad:

Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?

FYE, cause I love movies

What is the last cd/mp3 you acquired?

I bought the first 4 CDs of Electric Six. Best current band out there!

Show us a sample of your handwriting?

I'll get back to this one later tonight. I need to borrow a camera for it.

Good questions CC

I'll be on after the football game to anser more questions!

What color is your Cobalt?

Is it a 2-door or 4-door?

If you were Johnny Drama for one day, what would you do with that amazing opportunity? What would you accomplish?

Survivor? :awesome:

It's coming! :cmad:

You guys are gonna be in for a treat

SF!!!! :yay:

If you had the power to erase one thread from Hype existence...what would it be?

I would erase any thread started by NinjaCarm, cause all his threads are the same :o

favorite spider-man movie?

Easy, Spider-Man 2. It's the most well rounded film, and has the best action sequences.

favorite batman?

Film or actor? Actor, gotta go with Kevin Conroy vocally, but Bale for full portrayel. For film, Mask of the Phantasm is my personal favorite. Even more so than The Dark Knight, though it is close.

Iron man or TIH?

Iron Man, though TIH is better than people give it credit.

home alone, or uncle buck?

Uncle Buck. Home Alone has it's good points, but it is just too illogical! He can't set those traps that quick! Plus, more John Candy in Uncle Buck.

do you like film scores?

Film scores are essential points to a film in setting the mood for a scene, so definitely.

if so, which ones?

Sherlock Holmes has a great score, SM2 has a great score, TDK has a great score, Wall-E has an awesome score, etc. I'd say Danny Elfman is probably my favorite film scorer, if I was choosing.

dave chappelle or tyrone biggums?

Isn't Chappellle Tyrone Biggums? You're trying to trick me, AREN'T YOU!!! :cmad:

star wars or star trek?

This is a tough one. I love both, but if I had to choose, I think I'd choose Star Trek. I've only recently got into it, but I have an immense appreciation for Trek now. Plus, Lucas ruined Star Wars in subsequent years.

do you like the prequels?

ROTS is an okay film, but TPM and ATOC are complete and utter crap. The portrayel of Anakin's story is more annoying than tragic, which is a shame cause Vader/Luke's relationship in the OT is so well done. Then, they went and ruined the series with films that are poorly paced, written, and acted.

Favorite type of music?

I'm a classic rock kind of guy. My favorite band is Pink Floyd. Most modern music is unoriginal and kind of the same. The industry I feel lacks the passion people had back when music exploded.

what type of music do you hate?

Pop music. It is crap, and all the songs are the exact same and have repetitive beats. They annoy me.

Do you read harry potter?

No, mostly because I am a big fan of the films. I watched the films first, so I have avoided reading the books so I could avoid the spoilers.

if so, which is your favorite book?

Since I don't read the books, I'll talk movies. HPB was my favorite film. It was dark, well written, suspenseful, had beautiful art direction and scenery, and it was the overall best done. I was pleased watching it

What color is your Cobalt?

Dark blue

Is it a 2-door or 4-door?

Thankfully a 4 door. I am usually group driver with my friends, so I need the extra space.

If you were Johnny Drama for one day, what would you do with that amazing opportunity? What would you accomplish?

I can only be Johnny Drama for a day :csad:

Given this opportunity, I would use it to sit on the computer and make awesome posts

Spider-Fan, Spider-Fan

Do you do whatever a Spider-Fan does?

Also most overated actor, director, film?

City you would relocate to if given the chance?

Favorite Indiana Jones film?

Boots vs Sneakers?

The Thing(1982) or Alien?

Spider-Fan, Spider-Fan

Do you do whatever a Spider-Fan does?

That...and MORE!

Also most overated actor, director, film?

Actor - Christian Bale. He is great, but people act like he can do wrong or he is above doing films for money. He's a great actor, but there is noticing talent, and then over blowing them. He's way overblown.

Director - Francis Ford Coppola! Yes, he made the first two Godfather films, but he's also made some less than stellar films. Godfather 3 anyone?

Film - THE GODFATHER!!! Good movie, yes. Very good. But IT IS NOT THE BEST MOVIE EVER! Not even close. In fact, Part II is better. The Godfather has a lot of dry points that could have been shortened, and it drags. It's a great movie, but the fact people consider it the be all, end all of films is just wrong IMO.

City you would relocate to if given the chance?

Old NEW YORK! [/Sinatra]

Favorite Indiana Jones film?

Raiders of the Lost Ark. Easy. It is the best in pretty much all areas of film. It's fun, well plotted, and well directed. Plus, that part where Indy shoots the guy doing all that fancy crap is PRICELESS!

Boots vs Sneakers?

Sneakers, unless I am working in the snow. Then boots.

The Thing(1982) or Alien?

Alien, no contest. Ridley Scott is a genius, and Alien is probably the best horror film ever.

Have you ever used a typewriter to write up a school report?

Do you remember the library card catalogs?

At what grade level did you first have a computer in the classroom?

At what age did you first have a cell phone?

Have you ever used a typewriter to write up a school report?

No. I've either used a home printer or hand written my reports. I've typed up things on a type writer for myself, but never for school or anything.

Do you remember the library card catalogs?

Never went to the library much :csad:

At what grade level did you first have a computer in the classroom?

I was home schooled during 1st and 2nd grade, and the earliest I can remember using a computer at school was 4th grade. We did this project where we had to use a program to make some kind of video project, and I did the voice work of a shark in our project, whom was a bully! I was the only boy in the group, so it had to be me by default, lol.

At what age did you first have a cell phone?

I got my first cell phone in 11th grade, so I was 17.

What type of cellphone do you currently have?

What type of cellphone do you currently have?

I have the cheapest Nokia phone you can get, lol. I don't have a keyboard for texting (have to use the number keys), or anything good for internet use. Mine is basically good for getting texts and calls, lol. I'm too poor for the good stuff :csad:

I don't have a keypad other than the numbers on my phone either...so I can relate. :oldrazz:

We have dinosaur phones :csad:

But I can't complain, since I don't pay for my phone. My dad put me and my mom into his monthly cell phone plan, so I don't pay for mine. It really helps with money.

What are the top 5 films you're looking forward to this year?

What do you think of Vulture being in SM4?

What are the top 5 films you're looking forward to this year?

There are definately some good ones coming out this year. Right now, I'm most excited for:

Iron Man 2
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1
Robin Hood (love Ridley Scott!)
Inception
Toy Story 3 (Wall-E and Up bumped this up for me...Disney/Pixar are red hot!)

Though some films like The Book of Eli are high up on my list, but that comes out on Friday, so those all come out real soon, so I'll leave them off for now.

What do you think of Vulture being in SM4?

I honestly think people overlook the Vulture as a villain. Is he my #1 choice? No. My #1 choice would have been Mysterio or Lizard, but I think Vulture is a solid pick. Especially if Malkovich ends up in the role. The Vulture I think offers an intelligent villain, nice aerial battles and visuals, and someone whom is not a product of science gone wrong. Plus, JOHN MALKOVICH!!!

I actually think people will be impressed by Vulture when we see him. Not a sexy pick, but I like that Raimi is using a character he loves as opposed to one whom is "sexier" for the fans to salivate over.

What is your opinion of Zoe Saldana and this rumor about her possibly being cast as Storm in Bryan Singer's new X-Men Origins: First Class film?

What is your opinion of Zoe Saldana and this rumor about her possibly being cast as Storm in Bryan Singer's new X-Men Origins: First Class film?

She was great in Avatar, but it's hard ot judge her fully based on it due to it being a Mo-Cap aided performance. However, her experience with Avatar and learning to be like a Na'Vi will help her be a good Storm. I think it is a solid pick by Singer should it happen.

I just hope Singer actually makes Cyclops a character this time. That was a big complaint of mine in X1 and X2. He made Cyclops uninteresting, and just a jerk. He gave his best character attributes to Wolverine. As a fan of Cyclops, I think we can do better.

favorite guilty pleasure film?

LOL, there are a lot of bad films I will watch for a good laugh. I think my favorite guilty pleasure film might be Captain America. This movie is clearly bad, but it is amusingly bad. I can watch it and smile. Clearly I want the new Cap movie to be a great film, but that 90's film is great for a chuckle.

I don't really text a whole lot anyway...so I guess I can't complain too much either. :oldrazz:

Relay the story of how you lost your virginity or in some cases how you envision it taking place.

What was your first introduction into porn?

Cast your favorite movie using SHH Posters.

If you were a Major League Closer or a Wrestler, what would be your entrance music?

Take the opportunity now to clear up one misconception about you.

What invention are you disappointed hasn't been created by now?

What SHH event (that you not necessarily had to be a part in) has given you the most enjoyment?

How did you first started posting on SHH and what made you stay?

Take a few of your favorite songs and associate them with some SHH posters.
