Spidey-Bat's assigned Game (cause I have no idea what you think of movies) to remake is...Batman Arkham Asylum!

Sign up for your own 15 Minutes thread here.

Also, remind people that a good 15 minutes, doesn't mean 1-2 word answers. Not telling people to write a novel, but at least be interesting.

ELABORATE!!!

Question time!!

Where do you see yourself and what do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?

What is your first name?

Who do you feel closest to here on the Hype?

If you were to meet any Hypester in real life, who would it be and what would you do?

Where is home for you? Where would you like home to be?

Tell us the story of your greatest love.

Tell us the story of your greatest love.
I wouldn't consider her a great love but I was interested in her because she and I had a lot of similar interests. I knew she wasn't interested in me so I never really went for it. She picked up on the fact that I liked her and she told me she didn't really want to be in a serious relationship anyway. It sucked, and it took awhile to get over her. What helped was she got a lip ring several months later which looks awful. We're still friends and hang out in a group with mutual friends. It doesn't bother me because I've realized our attitudes on life and jobs especially are very different. We're both unhappy with how our lives are currently, but I'm working on a master's and having a good GPA to get a good job whereas she is just content with having the same type of job she's had the last 5+ years and not working towards what she really wants to do.

TL;DR: She friend-zoned me, then got a lip ring which turned me off for good. This helped me to realize we wouldn't have been very compatible anyway.

Batman or Spider-man? Pick just one.
Definitely Batman, better rogues gallery. Though I don't read comics other than having several Batman TPBs and a few other random things.

favourite CBM and least favourite?

Probably The Avengers. I was expecting it to be a disappointment since there was a lot riding on it being a success, but it was great. I don't think we'll see another big superhero team-up live up to its standards again.

Can you describe her lip ring?

Gross. Apparently she was able to get it for half-off having an apprentice do it. You can tell because they put it too low. She normally has a full ring but put a stud in it recently because she was interviewing for jobs. Her college and work friends think it looks good, our mutual friends and I think it looks awful.

I would have answered the exact same thing ion both accounts.
There were so many great quotes from Seinfeld, and I've probably seen the entire series about 5 times purely in reruns, but that one is just amazingly accurate.

New question:

Tell us a bizarre supernatural encounter you have had please?

My great-grandmother died about 20 years ago. Days or weeks after her death, I saw her ghost walk into my bedroom at night. She smiled and waved at me, then put her finger up to her lips like to stay quiet so I wouldn't wake anyone up, then walked out. I don't remember if I just imagined it (I used to be really afraid of ghost and convince myself I saw them) or legitimately saw it.

Another instance was there's this Devil Tree in NJ that has urban legends around it. I went with my friend and his friend to go see it. One of the myths is that if you stay around long enough, this phantom car will show up and then disappear. As we were leaving, a car was coming up over the hill. We started pulling out and when I looked behind us a few seconds later, I didn't see it even though there was no other way for it to go.

Top 5 NY Mets moments that you witnessed. (TV/Attended)

Where do you see yourself and what do you see yourself doing 10 years from now?
I'd like to be working and living in NYC. I have a bachelor's in Information Science and in my last semester for my MLIS. So I'll be doing stuff with information/data management. In my personal life, I'd hope to be in a relationship.

What is your first name?
I'd rather not say.

Who do you feel closest to here on the Hype?
cyborgninja (even though he hasn't been around here for awhile) since we've talked outside of the Hype for several years now.

If you were to meet any Hypester in real life, who would it be and what would you do?
I don't know. There are a lot of cool people here that I'd probably enjoy hanging out with. I'll say hippie_hunter since I think we're in agreement on a lot of things.

Where is home for you? Where would you like home to be?
Right now, it's my parent's house where I've lived for the last 15 years now. I started grad school immediately after undergrad, so I had no income and it was hard to pass up no rent, central A/C, high-speed internet, and DirecTV.

I'd like to move to NYC in the future since a lot of my friends are there even though it's expensive and I'd want to make sure I'm not screwing myself financially in the future.

You skipped my questions, I thought you will answer them after the other two
Sorry about that, I just jumped to Erz's post.

List a few of your favorite superheroes. Up to 15
Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Wolverine, Catwoman, Nightwing, Thor, Hellboy.

For villains: Joker, Lex Luthor, Magneto, Green Goblin, Lizard, Doc Ock.

Is Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon deserving of being despised?
I tried watching an episode and couldn't stand it. It has pretty good animation, I don't mind Drake Bell as Spider-Man, but the forced Family Guy humor and friends he has just ruin it for me.

What is the greatest game you played on each system? And how do you rank them?

NES: Super Mario Bros. 3, to be honest, I have an NES but was never a huge fan of any of the games on it. I find a lot of them to be too difficult. I don't mind difficult, but I feel games were made that way to prevent people from beating them to quickly and saving wasn't a real option.

Genesis: Sonic 3+Knucks. 2 games in 1, Sonic 3 was the best in the series and Knuckles is the most fun to play.

SNES: Super Mario World. My favorite Mario game, I think it's better than SMB3. Honorable mention to Chrono Trigger.

Game Boy/Color: Pokemon Silver.

N64: Banjo-Tooie. My favorite platformer, love it more than Mario 64. Also, Star Fox 64, few games from that generation aged well but that one did.

PS1: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (even though I got it off the PSN)

PS2: Kingdom Hearts 2, gameplay improved even though the story became incoherent.

Xbox: KOTOR, my favorite Star Wars game, the best Star Wars game, the best Star Wars story outside of the OT, one of the best video game plots, and one of the best plot twists ever.

GBA: Metroid: Zero Mission, much needed re-release/upgrade of the original Metroid.

Gamecube: Wind Waker, very underrated Zelda game. I'd replay it more if it weren't for the Triforce quest in the middle that's a chore.

Xbox 360: Crackdown, just a whole lot of fun.

PS3: Uncharted 2, great action and story. Honorable mention to Infamous 2 because I loved the ending.

Wii: Resident Evil 4, came out for GC/PS2 but a lot more enjoyable with the Wiimote. Great survival horror game, I wish the rest of the series was like that.

DS: Pokemon SoulSilver, best of the franchise. So many DS games that I'm probably forgetting something I liked more though.

3DS: Ocarina of Time, I have a 3DS and games but I just don't play handhelds that much

WiiU: Can I say Pikmin 3 even though it's not out yet and I don't have it?

PC: I've become almost exclusively a PC gamer since I built a solid rig, so there's a lot for me to choose from. I'll say Skyrim because of all the mods that have come out.

List some movies you wish to see. Limit is 30
The Good, the Bad, the Ugly (currently on my desk from Netflix), Pulp Fiction,

Name a game you like, but most people hate it
Metroid: Other M is the only game I can think of. I liked it, thought it was pretty good, but it got so much unwarranted hatred just because they gave Samus inner thoughts, emotions, and tried to twist it to be some misogynistic interpretation of the character.

What's the source of your avatar?
It's from Game of Thrones (HBO series), it's the personal sigil of Stannis Baratheon. His family (Baratheon) sigil is a stag, and the symbol of the god he worships is a red heart so the two are combined. He's one of my favorite characters in the books (hasn't been done justice in the show though).

Futurama or the Simpsons? Which show is more fun?
Definitely Futurama, it was more edgy than The Simpsons. It's made me laugh harder than any show as well as cry more than any other show (Jurassic Bark).

What classic movie do you think could benefit from a great remake?
Dracula, I'd love to see a version similar to the 1931 version. My fantasy cast would be Jason Issacs as Dracula and Liam Neeson as Dr. Van Helsing.

Do you like motorbikes or cars more?
Cars, motorcycles are dangerous though I would like to ride

What do you think of the Butterfly Effect?
Seems farfetched and unlikely.

Another great one, though I haven't had that experience yet.

Top 5 NY Mets moments that you witnessed. (TV/Attended)

1. Santana's no-hitter (I was always skeptical when a no-hitter was happening)
2. Game 2 of the 2006 NLCS. (I was there, Glavine pitched a great game and Beltran hit a bomb that was the only runs of the game I believe)
3. Endy's catch in Game 7 of the 2006 NLCS. Great catch, but bitter-sweet.
4. 2010, Padres were visiting the Mets. Ike Davis hit a walk-off home run, that's the first time I've ever seen a walk-off home run in person.
5. 2007, I went to a game where the Mets were at Wrigley Field. My first time there and it was awesome. El Duque was pitching a great game, threw an eephus, (one of my favorite players). The Mets ended up winning when Ryan Dempster came in and wet the bed in the 8th. It was also Kerry Wood's first game back in years so it was cool to see the reception he got.

Not a Mets moment, but in 2006 when the Yankees were at Fenway Park for a 5-game series (and swept it), I was at the 9-inning game that went from about 8pm to 1am, longest 9-inning game in history. I remember in the 9th looking at the scoreboard and seeing the west coast games were wrapping up.

Who is your biggest Hype fangirl?

Cowboy and Aliens sound like a weird concept, do you like it?

What got you to choose your user name?

Castlevania series, good or no?

Was it a great idea to change Castlevania's formula to the so called Metroid-Vania? Why?

Are you a roller coaster fan? If so, best one you've ever gone on? If not, what turned you off them?

Coffee or tea?

Pancakes or waffles?

I don't think I have any.

Didn't see the movie. Seemed kinda dumb.

What got you to choose your user name?
Originally, it was Spidey-Boy523. I dropped the 523 when mods started letting you change your username. Then I changed it to Spidey-Bat, probably around 2004-2005 when Batman Begins was about to come out and I REALLY got into following the production of that.

Castlevania series, good or no?
I've played Super Castlevania IV, Symphony of the Night, and some of the GBA ones. I like them, never tried any of the console ones thogh.

Was it a great idea to change Castlevania's formula to the so called Metroid-Vania? Why?

I think it was a good move, it' evolved the series beyond a side-scroller to take advantage of the system's potential.

Are you a roller coaster fan? If so, best one you've ever gone on? If not, what turned you off them?
I like them, but not a huge fan of upside-down ones. My favorite is Big Bad Wolf in Busch Gardens Virginia. That trip was when I first started liking roller coasters. I don't think I've been to any amusement park since that vacation.

Coffee or tea?
Coffee, only started drinking it a year ago but absolutely need it now. I like Dunkin Donuts regular, with sugar and half and half.

Pancakes or waffles?
Definitely waffles.

Favorite day of the week?
Sunday because that's when HBO airs the shows I like.

How do you feel about documentaries?
I'm a history buff, so I generally like them. World at War is an amazing documentary. Another of my favorites is The First World War, it's about as pure a documentary as you can get. There are no talking heads, only archival footage, photographs, and modern-day film of regions mentioned. There's a narration and voice-over from first-hand accounts but it's almost exclusively regular people, there's only a few from politicians or monarchs.

Guns of August is another good one.

As a history buff, what is your view of "Deadliest Warriors"?
Some fella said they are historically off and far from being the accurate depiction they aim to show

I've never seen it. It was on Spike so I have very low expectations for it being accurate.

I think you missed my question before,so here it is again!:woot:

Sorry about that. The only one I know of is Chicago and I do like their stuff so, Chicago.
