15 of the Greatest Moments In TGIF History

I like this comment:

Brother's Keeper (1998-1999)

"We don't even remember this show."
"Remember Brother's Keeper? Neither do we. But apparently it made a big enough impact to be recycled into what we now know of as Two and a Half Men on CBS. I guess they were just missing the *****ebags the first time around."

I remember always waiting those Friday nights when all my homework was done and onto TGIF with the classics I'm embarrased now to have watched like Full House and the good ones like Family Matters, Perfect Strangers and the semi-good ones like Step By Step, Boy Meets World (before it turned to teen sappy mush).

Hanging With Mr. Cooper which started as a black version of Three's Company on Tuesday's went the tween route on Friday's.

The mid-90's had the funny Teen Angel which got canned too quickly followed by stinkers like Baby Talk, Camp Wilder, Sabrina The Teenage Witch and the mentioned Brother's Keeper.

Remember the time-travel event where all four of the then TGIF shows inter-connected?

this takes me back. I've seen every show listed except maybe Brother's Keeper. I vaguely remember it though. I was such a TGIF junkie...

Of course! Sadly, it was the highlight of the week for me back then.

There were some really ****** shows on TGIF back in the day. Not to mention back in '97 when CBS bought up Family Matters and Step By Step and did their own version of TGIF.

I remember the Family Matters one in which Steve Urkel builds himself a jetpack that sends him flying out of the Winslow house into the Step By Step family but what were the other two shows from that night?

I know Steve also guested on Full House but by then FH was on Tuesday's.

I remember the cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch showing up in all the four shows of TGIF. One of them was Boy Meets World. Family Matters and Step by Step may have been the other two.

I remember when Boy Meets World was actually funny, before it became a constant after school special and they turned the older brother into a complete ******. BTW, is it sad that I still remember the words to the TGIF theme song?

I had to look it up but here it is:

*snaps fingers* *taps feet*

"It's Friday night/And the mood is right/Gonna have some fun/Show you how it's done, TGIF..".

They pulled a "Kelly Bundy", yeah.

yeah, Eric Matthews became a complete cartoon later on but it was kind of funny...

boy meet world is my all time favorite show.ifyou like boymets world i recommed checking out the wonder years. in real lifee fred saage is ben savage brothr ben savge plays cory in boymeetsworld. i think fredsavage was on boy meets world one time me and my grandpapaa like family matters.

How did Boy Meets World end, did Cory marry Topanga?

It's funny how Mr. Feeny seemed to inexplicably be the principal at every school that Cory went to from grade school, junior high, high school and college.

It always amazed me how on the TGIF shows, the goofiest and somewhat annoying character became the most popular one.

Family Matters = Urkel

Step By Step = Cody
