Has your expectations been met, failed, or just a few have been reached. Your current thoughts on the progress of The Transformers movie. :trans:

My thoughts are

I hope every print is caught ablaze

I'm hoping to be surprised. But, I'm also definately looking forward to other movies a lot more. And that's really bad... considering a Transformers movie is probably the one movie aside from the Star Wars prequels that I've waited my whole life to see.

I hate just about everything so far, but to be honest, the crazy ass designs would have not been so bad to me if they at least acted like themselves and had more than one or two lines. I know I'm only basing this on the info/rumors around the leaked script, but I doubt they changed it enough to satisfy. So it's kind of like a punch to the face AND knee to the crotch at the same time. Bad designs, bad script, crappy director.

Will I still see it the day it opens?

You bet your ass I will. :csad:

Excited and worried. I have a Decepticon symbol tattooed on my right bicep, and I will soon and teh Autobot to it. I have been a fan since 84. I have waited for this movie for a very long time. After all the incarnations the Transformers have gone thourgh in 20 years, I knew they wold change the designs, and som are good, others not ( I am looking at you Starscream), but what worries me the most, is the rumors of the lack of personality they gave the Transfomers. They are characters, beings with emotion, not just killer robots. And that worries me. I am also a huge Batman fan, and I know how I felt when I walked ot of Batman and Robin, I do not want that feeling when I leave after this film.

After the first announcement I had high expectations. Saw images of Megatron and Starscream, lost hope. Regained hope with Bumblebee, Barricade, Jazz and Optimus Prime designs. Lost all hope again after seeing images of Bonecrusher and Frenzy today.

"You've got the stink. You've got to shower. Yeah! You never wash you never have fun, spoil the film it'll give you the runs, you're a sinner..."

They don't get Transformers any better than Joel Schumacher understood Batman.

I'd rather slit my own wrists that to see another pic of a wannabe 'Bay-Former'.:cmad:

I finally got the chance the view the teaser trailer that came out this past December and I think that it looked promising. I've been a Transformers fan for a long time, and I can honestly say that the designs have never been an issue for me. All of the Autobots look cool IMO. I would also say the same for the Decepticons. Frenzy looks odd, Starscream has grown on me, and the only real problem I have with the Megatron design are the hands and head. I have always felt that as long as the personalities were intact, redesigning a character is fine. The storyline seems interesting. So I'm excited about the film and can't wait until July.

I'm on pins, & needles . . . needless to say in the most good, positive way!

My thoughts exactly, but I am still excited about the movie.

I'm just going to enjoy the movie for whatever it is when I see it. I'm not going to trust anything in the alleged 'leaked script'.

I'm skeptical. But I have hope that it'll be a decent action film, even though it most likely won't be a good Transformers movie.

I'm accepting all the recent leaks as openly as I can. I never got into anything after G1. Recently I even gave it another go. Still couldn;t do it.

I am going to accept this as a reimagining/reboot, and evaluate it for what it is, not compare it against G1 for what it isn't.

From the time the film was announced to the time Bay was announced as the director, to all the info we now know; this film is verifying everything I ever feared about how Hollywood would treat a live-action Transformers film.

I just want to see giant robot fighting.:woot:

That is what I am tryign to do. But since I grew up with G1, and it is my all time favorite cartoon, it is hard for me not to compair it.
Just as I compair all the other versions, Armada, Energon, RID, I compair them all to G1, and so far, nothign comes close in my opinion.

Now that we have more info on the movie. I know for sure its going to such. But its transformers and I have to see it. Unless something stops me.

They should not be doing a "Live Action" movie. Same now as when I first heard it. Yikes.
