2 kids sued for downloading songs

The RIAA must be stopped, no matter the cost.

He downloaded "MMMbop". I think that's punishment enough.

Just quit buying music from them.

It's pretty hard to pay lawyers when you don't have any income to do it.

It's been years since I've bought any cd's, because I hate my country's copyright laws and will not spend a dime as protest.

Things like these just seem to get worse and worse every day its just getting ridiculous

I buy at most 1 CD a year and I don't download music. There just isn't much out there that I like.

The offspring wouldn`t mind you downloading their songs for free they are all for internet sharing, they well on the team for Napster when they went bust, but Hanson and Jacko, they need all the royalties they can get these days.

That's because bands like the Offspring know that the record companies rip off artists and don't give them their fare share of the profits. They also know that they make their real money by selling merchandise and concert tickets. To them, downloaded music is the same thing as bootleg tapes and kids making copies of cassettes for one another and they understand that those are things that bring them new fans who will then buy their t-shirts, posters, concert tickets and everything else they sell where they really make their money.

Also that at some point, most people who download music do eventually buy the CD anyway.

It accuses the two of downloading and distributing over 1,000 songs, including "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)" by the Offspring, "MMMBop" by Hanson and "Beat It" by Michael Jackson.

*snicker*
