Mexico needs to stand up to the drug cartels. Seriously. Just take the Mexican military and declare war, and I mean full out war, drive the drug cartel out. Either kill them or lock them up and throw away key. It's not getting better. At this point, the cops and public officials playing by the rules isn't doing jack down there.

EDIT- Nevermind, Mexico has been at War with the drug cartels since 2006. Shouldn't be taking this long...4 year war. Is 65% of Mexico in the cartel or something?

No. But the thing is, they're not fighting a formal military force. They're fighting a criminal organization who's membership is scattered throughout the civilian population of their own country and are more inclined to manipulation, assassination, and guerilla warfare than all out combat. That **** is hard.

Maybe. It kind of depends on how secretive the cartel is, and how high in the ranks the dirty cops are.

All I know is that with all that going on it's not surprising why so Mexicans are coming into America illegally.

To be truthful, if I were a public official there I'd probably be on the cartel's payroll. Like the crooked mexican politicans in Weeds. Sure it's wrong but it's better than them killing you. Says in the link that 11 mayors have been killed this year alone in mexico

I tried to point something like that out in the Immigration thread and got called a racist.

The poster had no argument of course, so he turned my words around saying that I was saying that all Mexicans are criminals or some horse **** like that.
