we're talking current best. amare is injured. he's also an underacheiving defender.

also, shaq will be shaq but when you look what he actually does instead of listening to the crap that is spoon fed to you by "analysts" you'll see he is no longer dominant.

If with talking best, then I'm going with the guys with the pedigree. Again, Shaq, Wallace and Amare (oh, but he's injured, so he doesn't exist).

This may be the first time that I've ever heard somebody call Yao the best. A large portion of the basketball community has another opinion.

No, Shaq isn't as dominating as he's been in the past. And some of that crap that "analysts" feed me has been more than cognizant of that fact. Despite all that, everytime the subject comes up, I still hear a slew of names (starting with Shaq and his 'diminished' abilities) before Yao's.

That's a tall order for the Rockets to make the 8 seed. They're only 4 1/2 back, but still. They need to gel (and be healthy) before they could threaten SA/Dal/Phx.

And exactly how many All-NBA Teams has Yao been on? I recall Shaq being on the First Team last year and the year before and the year before (and plenty more). Wallace has been 2nd Team multiple times. I can only recall Yao being 3rd team back in 2003.

Here's another name for you, Amare Stoudemire. He's finished 2nd Team last year. And yes, he is a center.

As far as your digs at Shaq, when respected commentators and fellow players continue to regard the man as the best and still dominant, I'm inclined to believe them.

Not to mention Yao is his BIATCH!!! This kid dunks on Yao like it is a natural reflex  :D

Actually yao plays amare pretty well he holds him to like 40-45% shooting from the field

I would give up my "Pimp and Ho's" Party life to see that!!!

Shaq would foul the crap out of him, and anybody else for that matter, before that happened.

I remember Derrick Coleman dunking on him his rookie year, but that's it.

Yeah but I think you could put together a highlight reel of Amare dunking on Yao alone :D

I wasn't a ferocious dunk. DC caught him when he wasn't looking and Shaq only got up about halfway at the last minute. Not poster-worthy, but the only time I've seen it close.

Poor Steve. He's the new Stephan Marbury. :o Loads of talent, no ring, and only broken promises.

Francis is overhyped just like Marbury

The shot heard round the world or just a great statement by Mr. Humbug. Steve Francis can play w/ a team. Marbury cannot play w/ a team. You cannot turn a natural 2-guard into a PG. It's not logical in today's league. Besides, both of those guys want limelight more than victories.

Either way, they might be paired in the Backcourt in NYK with Penny (Ironically) and Jamal Crawford going to Orlando

BY the way Alpha, nice sketch of babygirl(Kreuk) in the avatar

Yup, I mean they both have game, but they are not true point guards. Great point guards are all about setting up their team and getting everyone involved.

Oh crap, I meant cannot for Francis and Marbury. Nash, Kidd, Tony Parker, and Chauncey Billups are point guards.

Francis and Marbury are . . . "The Replacements." a la last resort.

Does anybody know what the hell Isiah is doing in NY? I think he's taking side bets on what dumbass move he's willing to make. Seriously, you can't screw up a roster this bad unless it was intentional. They have no big men worth mentioning and a bunch of selfish 2 Guard/swingmen. No way he keeps this job after this season (if he makes it that long)?

Maybe he has plans to trade both Francis and Marbury at some point, or maybe he's just totally stupid.

ima knicks fan, and i think tthat Isaih is trying his best to win this year

this guy is terrible and cant construct a proper team... Francis and Marbury is a recipe for disaster, if i were them i would actually trade for a REAL point guard

I think if Isiah gets Francis and still has Marbury, he will package them for next season in a big trade to get some real talent in there.
