Interesting strategy from Jeter bunting on two strikes... WTF??

Bad play by him. I rarely agree with McCarver...but he was right. Bunting on two strikes was a stupid move.

One of the worst calls in baseball history...Especially because of the magnitude of the situation.

These umps have absolutely humiliated themselves this postseason. These calls are brutal, especially because they've been so obvious. At this rate, instant replay is happening.

Mo should finish this nicely.

I don't think Howard even touched 1st base.

Which means the batter probably should have been safe as well as Posada. I think, because it looked like Howard didn't touch 1st base in the replay.

...because it went against the Yankees? Seriously. Compare it to just this postseason, with the Mauer ball down the line and the two runners on third. Both make this call look tame.

Fine, how about the play where Posada and Cano were both tagged out off base, and Cano was called safe? While standing off the base.

That was not against the Yankees, and it was still idiotic beyond belief.

That would be the two runners on third play, and it went in favor of the Yankees. Both should have been out.

It was a tough call to make since he was behind Howard. So you really can't blame the umpire in this situation. He made a judgement call.

There. The Yankees got a bad call right back for them.

Great turn by Jeter, nice hard takeout slide there.

No, not a dirty play...I know some fans like baseball to be nice and soft. But, that looked like a solid hustle play.

Plus, this one was worse because the ump had a direct line of sight here.

And Mo gets it done. The day he retires will be a sad one indeed.

Anyway, there you go. 1-1. Stop whining, you fair weather idiots. We're in it to win it.

Happy we took one in NY. Home Field advantage to Philly.

Both pitchers pitched great.....I think everyone thought one would get pummeled but it wasn't the case.

Yeah, agreed.

Truth be told, all four starters threw great games. Some better than the other. But, good games starts nontheless.

Yankees bats need to wake up, though. A-ROD needs to get back on track. Hopefully, Hamels will be the one he'll start up against.

Good win. Great pitching by Burnett, impressive start by the man i love to hate Pedro Martinez (seriously, I thought being a met would subside this hate, Nope)

Wake up bats. Especially you A-Rod, you don't have a hit and you've struck out 6 times. You can do better, you all can do better.

And just like CBB said. Pretty darn good starting pitching in this series so far. Two pitchers doing well enough to win, but the other two were just better.
