Welcome to the Official 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs Thread. Or "La Coupe Stanley" if you prefer.

Don't forget to vote on who you think will hoist Lord Stanley's Cup in June.

Flyers

Playoff Pool

When doing your picks PM me. Just first round only.

I'll need winners of each game, how many games it takes and the winner of each series.

Ex. Anaheim in 6. 1.) Ducks 2.) Ducks 3.) Stars 4.) Stars 5.) Ducks 6.) Ducks

Points System

2 points for picking each individual win.
4 points for picking the correct series. (So if you get two games wrong, but still pick the correct winner in the number of games you predicted, I'll still give you 4 points.)
6 points for picking everything correctly. (Meaning each game picked right and the correct winner of the series.)

I'm a Flyers fan and I would love for them to win. I would be beyond excited for that. But I don't see them winning the up this year. Still missing some pieces in my opinion. I see the Red Wings repeating as much as it pains me to say. But I'm still pulling for my Flyers.

As much as I would like to see a team like Chicago or St. Louis win, I find that the Sharks are playing the most complete game this year.

I have only three sign ups. I would like at least 3-4 more to make it interesting. I've recieved the picks from the people in bold.

I can see Detroit winning it, but I'll be a homer and say Columbus just be the a typical fan:woot:

Some Bruins Playoff Commercials.

Now, I know next to nothing about hockey, but I root for The Rangers, so they're my pick.

If anyone is interested in signing up for the playoff pool, please state so in this thread. I'd like at least 2-3 more sign-ups.

I'd love to say the Sharks but they are perennial playoff chokers, so I'll have to go with the Wings. I dont see any of the teams from the East being ablle to hang with them.

I hope The Flyers can regroup against the Pens....Briere really hasn't been a welcomed addition since he returned.

Winnipeg Jets vs. Quebec Nordiques in the Finals, methinks.

It's gonna be Detroit and Pittsburgh again. This time with Pittsburgh winning ;)

This time around i have a feelings Flyers will step it up. Go Flyers

Detroit just doesn't have the goaltending to go far in the playoffs...

Sure, they have firepower, but a 6-5 loss is still a loss...

:yay:

Well, Osgood got hot at the right time last year. That is all it takes sometime. But I have to agree, if Osgood isn't hot, I don't see Ty Conklin stepping up and getting the job done.
