Is it me, or does the Cards epic fail of a season fall on the head coach for choosing Anderson over Leinart? Then going with Anderson for a few games....then Hall...flip flopping it all around.

I think it falls on Whis, at least partially, along with the GM and ownership. For them to cut Leinart, there had to have been some indication well before the season started that he still wasn't ready to run the offense. They should have either went after a proven veteran like McNabb (yes, I know he sucks this season too, but Santana Moss is not Larry Fitzgerald) or pursued a high-profile rookie in the draft. But they decided to go with... Derek Anderson. And I think that now we can finally close the book on him and say without any shadow of a doubt that he's a terrible quarterback who should not be starting anywhere in the NFL.

Some people - well, maybe just one person that I know of - thought Whis could turn Andersuck into a superstar and the only reason he was so bad before was because he was in Cleveland. I think this season cemented the fact that Anderson is (at best) a back-up QB, and if Whis and his people couldn't see that before the season started, then I seriously question how sharp their football knowledge truly is.

Now, I don't know the whole story here... perhaps Whis did know all to well but the Cards owners wouldn't let him acquire a QB with some potential because they still believed in Leinart or (for some reason) thought Anderson was the answer. But it sure looked like Whis's arrogance got the better of him on this one.

Boss recently dropped the limit to 10 grand.

Every year, everyone says it is the Texans year, but year after year after year, they disappoint. I am sorry guys, but this is a trend. The Texans will never be an elite team, and looks like not even a playoff team. They can't win close games and they choke. I knew they'd be overrated this season.

They will NEVER be an elite team, and they may not EVER be a playoff team? Thats a pretty harsh thing to say.

Even that is harsh. That division is weaksauce. When Jax is the 2nd best team, anything is possible....

With Carolina having such a terrible season, I won't be surprised if John Fox is fired at the end of season and Cowher is offered the job as HC and maybe even GM.
