I was hoping to see a Cutler return to Denver. An Orton return would be pretty cool, too ... Assuming he would actually be playing for the Bears by then.

I just got a Tweet that said Cowboys has made a waiver claim on Kyle Orton, in an attempt to block him from going to Bears. If this is true, then I can't really fault Cowboys for doing it since Bears right now looks like it could be the #2 team in NFC if they have Cutler or a capable backup in his absence.

The Cowboys did indeed put a claim on Orton but it is moot as:

Chiefs claim Orton

Orton is officially a Kansas City Chief. I personally think it was a dumb move on their part. Mathematically they still may have a shot but theiir season is more or less over. Why pay the pricey Orton?

Though the drama is great as in week 17 Orton will be back in Denver playing Tebow and the Broncos (assuming that Orton can keep the starter job in KC).

This is sad but hilarious...

Holiday Cheat Sheet: 4 Ways to Look Smart About Football on Thanksgiving

http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/11/23/nfl-smarts-how-to-impress-your-family-on-thanksgiving/?hpt=us_c2

As you gather around the television for food and football on Thanksgiving, why not wow the family with your NFL knowledge? Sure beats bickering. Here are four conversation points that will make you top turkey:

1. “Hey, Uncle Phil, Detroit Is Trying to Party Like It’s 1962.” The Green Bay Packers, defending Super Bowl champs, are a perfect 10-0 entering their Thanksgiving tilt against the Detroit Lions. Back in ’62, the Packers were also 10-0 on Thanksgiving — and the defending NFL champs — when they faced Detroit in Tiger Stadium. Detroit dominated that game, ruining Green Bay’s bid for a perfect season with a 26-14 victory and nearly a dozen sacks of Packers quarterback Bart Starr. Detroit, which enters the year’s game with a resurgent 7-3 record, finished the ’62 season 11-3. But Green Bay more than survived its Thanksgiving Day takedown: the Packers finished 13-1 and beat the New York Giants in the NFL championship game to clinch a second straight title.

2.”Aunt Jane, Green Bay Is Six Wins Away from a Record!” Green Bay won the last two games of last year’s regular season, all four of its playoff games and the first 10 games of the 2011 campaign. That’s a 16-game winning steak for the Packers. What’s the all-time NFL record for most games won in a row? The New England Patriots own it: over the 2003-04 seasons, the Pats took 21 straight. They won the Super Bowl in both years.

3.”Grandma, Miami Is No Longer Just Sucking for Luck.” Before she threatens to wash your mouth out with soap, explain: a few weeks ago, the Miami Dolphins were 0-7. Many Fins fans were hoping the team would tank the season so it would finish with the worst record in the league and be able to select outstanding Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the top pick in the draft. (Thus “suck for Luck.” Everyone was saying it, Grandma, I’m no cretin.) But Miami has won its past three games and held its opponents to just 20 points over that stretch. In fact, the Miami defense has not allowed a touchdown in 12 quarters. The Dallas Cowboys, who host the Dolphins on Thanksgiving, are also hot: the team has a three-game winning streak of its own and is now tied with the New York Giants for first place in the NFC East. About a month ago, the Cowboys were probably circling this game as a sure win. They’d be foolish to do that now.

4. “Dad Isn’t Sticking Around for the HarBowl, Gramps.” Fight off the tryptophan to stay up for the prime-time game between the Baltimore Ravens (7-3) and the San Francisco 49ers (9-1). For the first time in NFL history, two brothers will face each other as head coaches: John Harbaugh leads the Ravens, while his brother Jim, 15 months John’s junior, is the first-year coach of the surprising 49ers. So what will their father, former college head coach Jack, be doing during this game? He won’t be watching in the stadium: Jack says he plans to snap a pregame photo with his sons and wife and then high-tail it out of there. He doesn’t want the TV cameras focused on him.

The Harbaughs send game film to their dad every week so he can break it down and give them tips. Every Tuesday at 10 a.m., the DVDs arrive at his door. “A FedEx man, a gentleman by the name of Tim, really looks forward to it,” Jack Harbaugh told Baltimore sports-radio station 105.7 The Fan. “He comes down the street in a truck and jumps out of the truck with some real enthusiasm and runs them up to the door.”

We hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving football with Tim-like passion.

You just never know with that division.

Well, the Jets will be going against Orton now too...I was looking forward to Palko as well lol

whattup hoes?

its time for BLs totally random and inconsequential Week 12 Picks....let's kick this pig! or turkey...whateves

Green Bay at Detroit - Detroit has not had good luck with Thanksgiving....I like the Lions they have a ton of upside....BUT these are the defending champs.....ahhh screw it...Detroit hands GB their first loss, but by a field goal

The HarBowl - 49ers vs. Ravens....I take the Niners because they have been a model of consistency....and the Ravens lost to teams this year they have ZERO business losing to

Cleveland vs. Cincinnati...........Im not even gonna bother with this mess, but if Marx or any Ohioans wanna comment...have at it

Buffalo vs. Jets.....CJ Spiller is getting the start and the Jets are slowly sliding down the toilet....I say Buffalo gets is head together and they get one over while Rex Ryan has a turducken hangover

Carolina vs. Indianapolis....like ETM said last week, this game should not be aired on TV...or if it is there should be disclaimer because this s*** is going to get uglier than a one legged, one eyed fat chick in a tube top...Cam Newton and the Panthers kill Indy

Chicago vs. Oakland....Caleb Hanie?? Caleb Hanie.....hmmm that Bears defense is still monstrous and go ahead Oakland, be stupid and kick it to Devin Hester

New England vs Philadelphia....expect New England to continue what they started last Monday night....Darth Hoodie keeps his foot on the gas....Pats by 16, if not more

Denver vs. San Diego....My fantasy QB for the past 4 YEARS Philip Rivers vs Denver and some little known guy from Florida...Timothy...Tim something

oh yea Tim Tebow!!! its TEBOW TIME!!! yea hes a hot mess, but he's fun to watch

and on Monday Night....Giants vs New Orleans....Drew Brees is a great rebound QB and he's going to tear the Giants a new one

Sucks for Seahawks fans who wanted Orton on their team.

My condolences go out to them for them having to watch two future CFL QB's.

I wonder if they'll start Orton against the Steelers on Sunday Night. Poor Palko won't be able to face his former team. :oldrazz:

Today may be Thanksgiving but I only wanna see Dolphins rout those CowGIRLS.

Oh yea, and that Panthers game. ....I better see a Panthers win. They should rout, but I'm gonna change my score to 55-20 Panthers. Panthers got no D, but unless Cam throws 7 pick 6's, they are winning. And in a rout.

I honestly don't think it matters whether the Bears got Orton or not... Only one QB comes to my mind who'd be able to survive long enough to have a hope in doing anthing at all and the Steelers won't be letting him go.

I honestly pity any QB who winds up having to go there and play behind that line with next to no preparation...

I don't LIKE Cutler, but his ability to survive and even make some plays behind them had my respect... even if I think he's a *****e.

Keep dreaming fellas. The Fins are who we thought they were. A bunch of Losers who were in the Luckstakes not 3 games ago. The Boys will ruin your Turkey Day... like they always do.

Go Cowboys!

:cap: :cap: :cap:

Lions started out good there on offense but then screwed the pooch. :cmad:

I'm pretty sure I don't like half the people who post in this thread.

The Lions should be dominating they keep getting dumb penalties. Practically gonna hand the Packers this game.

And more passes to Jordy Nelson please.

1) Let the effin game be played! The penalties are just getting ridiculous at this point. And of course the refs miss the most obvious one of the game.

2) Green Bay's offensive play calling is atrocious. Three times they have thrown deep on third and one.

This game is just...I don't know. The Packers are supposed to have this explosive offense and the only progress they've gotten are off of Lions penalties.

Packers may score thanks to that INT they got off Stafford but who knows with this game! :wow:

This game is ugly. Bad defense by Green Bay, who are benefitting by terrible calls. The Packers offense has been slow, and only turnover of game led to their short field.

As someone wanting to watch this, I hope both teams start playing better and the refs stop interfering. That roughing the QB call was just ridiculous.

I agree that was a HORRIBLE call. It was a clean hit. Just seems like the ref tossed that flag because it was the precious Aaron Rodgers. Seems like these refs were paid off by the Packers or something. :oldrazz:
