Haha, sadly I do think that the Jags are fairly committed to Gabbert as starter(at least for the foreseeable future).

I think that RG3 is either going to Washington or Cleveland. I'm leaning towards Cleveland, which I think is unfair to Colt McCoy. The kid showed potential, but Shurmur is a pure west coast guy and stuck him into a system that he is suited to play in this year. I'd like to see him get picked up by Tennessee or Miami and have a second shot.

I do think that there is a CHANCE that RG3 leapfrogs Luck and goes Number 1. I think despite the hype, RG3 is FAR more suited to Bruce Arians' offense than Luck and we all know that Bruce Arians changes his offense for no man (not even when the team owner tells him to).

Man, can you imagine the wheeling and dealing that will be going on with the Rams number 2 pick in that ten minute pick period if that were to happen?

Heh, yeah, it will be very interesting. But I think the only way RGIII would get picked over Luck at this point is if Luck injures himself between now and the draft or gets arrested for chopping up 17 people with a hacksaw. He's the #1 draft pick all the scouts have been dreaming about for years, except for the fact that he sounds like Butt-Head when he talks.

I don't know about Colt McCoy though. The argument can be made that he's shown potential and could do better with more talent at the WR position, but I'm not sure. The only point last season where I thought he looked really good was in the preseason, and well, John Beck and Rex Grossman looked good in the preseason. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Browns go after RGIII.

I'd personally like to see him go to the 'Skins though, because there is absolutely NO question that the Skins do NOT have a starting QB on their roster. They won't win without one, and if they don't nab a guy who can start day 1, then they're left to either go the old Dan Snyder way and pick up some guy in free agency who is a step away from retirement, or take a project QB who won't start until they've already let Grossman knock them out of playoff contention.

But... they already have future HOFer Blaine Gabbert on their roster. With that kind of offensive firepower, they're set for another 20 years.

Wait til they debut the triple flea flicker.

Dalton seems like a promising young quarterback, but don't worry... Marvin Lewis will find a way to ruin him.
Marvin Lewis: "Well, I think we did a lot of things right in that 7-42 blowout today. We did a lot of things right, but just need to keep improving and keep working on things. I'm happy with the result of today's game, because we had fun out there, didn't quit, and did a lot of things right. I guess we will just get after it in practice."

Roethlisberger restructures his contract to give 8 million in cap space.

Eagles are signing Trent Edwards.

Yep, to solve the issue of their injury prone quarterback, the Eagles have signed an injury prone back up. Dream Team, baby!

Looks like the Steelers are doing everything they can to retain Wallace...with Ben restructuring contract if the numbers are correct that puts the Steelers a littler more than 4 million under the cap and they still have a few cuts to make.

Hoping Orson Charles is there in the second or third round for my Falcons. Kids got potential. Said he'd love to learn from Tony G.

What I dislike about this is that they have such gaping holes at other positions that DESPERATELY need filled with cap space. Wide receivers are a dime a dozen. A wide receiver who cannot run a route isn't worth what Wallace is asking.

I agree...they need help on the O-Line and they need a NT, I would love for some team to take Wallace and give us another 1st round pick we could pick up a NT and a guard or OT...that would be very nice. They could always grab another WR in the 3rd or later rounds.

Yeah, but the Steelers would probably just take that pick and do something boneheaded with it like draft another defensive end who they'll convert into a linebacker two years from now. I'd rather they keep Wallace for the long term.

Also, is he really that bad at running routes? The only issue I have with him is that he's had some critical drops in games, but he's also made some amazing catches. I haven't noticed him blowing routes, but that can be difficult to gauge because it's hard to pick out so many things during a play, particularly where the ball didn't go.

I was torn initially on whether or not I wanted them to retain Wallace but I've decided I think they should. Wallace is special in that he's improved his game in all areas already in his short career, and he's going to get better and better. The Steelers can solve some personnel problems in the draft, or at least try to, but to get rid of perhaps their top playmaker just to get under the cap would be foolish in my opinion.

He is TERRIBLE at route running. You can see it almost every game.

Antonio Brown has developed into a top tier receiver in his shorter career. Wallace is just fast. Every secondary with a quick cornerback can shut him down because he can't run routes.

I'm assuming the Combine is only available on the NFL Network? I'd really like to watch the RB prospects.

As for Free Agency, I hope by some act of God the Bengals manage to land Carl Nicks.

And they still question Alistair Overeem.

Jeez...

Isn't he a safety? Why would he need to be that big?

I guess Rex ain't going to be guaranteeing anything this year.
