Now that the Cavs are getting all the old Heat players, we'll need to mash their names together. Something like... the Cheats!

So apparently Vegas oddmakers have picked the Cavs as the favorite to win in 2015.

Cavs are gonna be good but they may still be too green to win the title. I think we could see a Spurs repeat or the Thunder finally break through. Houston is another team with a legit shot. Dallas isn't a bad early pic either.

In other news:

Carlos Boozer has been claimed by LA, and the Cavs are willing to trade Wiggins for Love.

SMH, this squad is starting to resemble (literally) some bull**** team I threw together in 2K14 because just like real life, I was sitting on cap space with nobody to spend it on.

I fail to see the strategy here, even with the misfires, Greg Monroe and Bledsoe are still out there. They're not max guys, but they're good enough to help be competitive. Trying to conserve cap space for FA they won't land anyway is just gonna leave management holding the bag. It's about to be a looooong season. Again....

The Lakers haven't realized that while free agents want to play and live in LA, they don't want to go to a team that has very little in terms of a roster (injured Kobe and Julius Randle is not enticing enough). They need to build up at least a decent base and then try and shop themselves to the marquee free agents. Ramona Shelburne of ESPN said Love was intrigued by the Lakers but doesn't want to go to an empty roster with not much upside.

Have they even hired a coach yet? Last I heard Byron Scott was the front runner....

:lmao:

And they say you can't run professional franchises like you do in video games.

When I heard this I was like lol. They will be good but spurs, clippers, OCK are way better and rockets, golden stat are probly better then the cavs right now to. Now if they trade and get love then maybe but if they have to trade wiggs and anthey benit or something then they are going to be a 3 man team with no bench and you need more then just that ask the heat has they got killed by the spurs with having a 3 man team.

it's really funny watching LeBron be GM of the Cavs and trying to recreate what won him championships in Miami with a younger (arguably better, not better than prime Wade though) big 3. Won't be surprised to see David Blatt dumped for Calipari at some point. That defense is going to be atrocious though especially if LeBron coasts like he did this year.

Does Varejao play defense well? The Cavs are going to need a good defensive big to clean up Kevin Love's defensive lapses.

^When he's healthy, he's one of the better defensive big men in the league. Problem is, he hasn't put together a full season in a few years and has been injury prone for a lot of his career.

The news surrounding Bledsoe turning down 4/48 and wanting 5/80 is crazy. I mean, yikes. Monroe would be likely to be matched, but I'm surprised no one put an offer out there.

But yeah... no, I have no clue what the Lakers are doing? You've got Hill and Ed Davis. Why put in a bid on Boozer?

But, does Kevin Love make the team better? If the answer is yes, then that is all that matters to me.

Is Bledsoe even eligible for that? I thought the max he could get was 4/48.

he would make the team better no doubt, the question is would he make it good enough to win a championship over the Spurs, and I have my reservations about that with the defensive liabilities that Irving and Love have been.

That said, a team with Love+LeBron on it would be extremely hard to stop. A good case can be made Love is the third or fourth best player in the league (and he would be definitively so if he played better defense) and he can pretty much do everything on offense from passing and scoring ability on top of being a double digit rebounder. But still, the Cavs will have the same issues the Heat had with depth if they do that deal, their big 3 would just be younger.

Ha! Strangely enough, certain things happened in my season that really did (or should) happen in reality. Gasol got scooped up by the Bulls, Lance left the Pacers and D-Wade retired (I kid, kinda. I think he'll have a decent season if he manages to stay upright :oldrazz:) and LBJ left the Heat....for Orlando

Bledsoe is good, no doubt about it. But if anyone gives him that kind of money they're smoking something I need for this next season. That's why I think both he and Monroe wind up coming to their senses and accepting something a little more reasonable. I thought the Lakers would at least attempt to sway one of them, just to have the offer there when reality sets in that they're not getting the max, but I guess not...

I signed LeBron to Orlando in my franchise mode lol

I always thought the last season for Miami was one of those "meh, been there, done that, why bother" thing...

Reminded me of the run Lakers had when they had Malone, Shaq, Kobe etc...the only difference is, they really put it all together in playoffs.
